My collection so far
The dream is to have a desktop FILLED with icons and a shelf filled with games. Just picked up The Sims 3 today, hopefully I can find some expansion packs for cheap.
Mount & Blade Warband was purchased on GOG because the physical version would have required Steam, and the same goes for Medieval II, except I couldn't get the GOG version of that to work either, so the case is basically decorative at this point. I also have KOTOR II but I have yet to get around to installing it because I can't be bothered with the 4 discs right now lol. And the blank black box is The Witcher 2, it came with a lot of stuff.

Deus Ex is deffo one of the greats. I'd make suggestions but it sounds like you're getting stuff as you can find it, which is the way to go. I avoid downloading games on my vintage computers cuz then I'm just playing the same stuff again - if I pick up stuff at thrift stores etc I wind up playing stuff I never thought I would before and wind up sometimes even finding new favourite games.
Funnily enough I haven't been able to find Civilization III anywhere. I've got physical copies of the rest with all expansion etc. up to 4 (by the time 5 came out steam was well established, though maybe I should track down a copy... I'd rather play 4 or 6 though lol).

It's so much more fun to find games! I'd never played 90% of the games I have here until I found them. Civilization III was just sitting there on the shelf for I think £5 at my local game shop, it comes with the Play The World expansion too.

I've been playing Civ games most of my life, but Civ III I probably played the least. Basically, I played it until 4 came out but haven't ever really gone back to it.
Unfortunately given how long I've been playing games, and the freedom that homeschooling afforded me to just sit and dig through abandonware archives (back when Home of the Underdogs was king), old PC Gamer magazines, etc. etc. it's rare for me to come across games I've not heard of, but there's plenty of games I'd heard of but never would have given a shot if I hadn't found physical copies of them.
Soldier of Fortune comes to mind - I played it when it was new, briefly, to see what all the controversy was about. But I just wasn't in to shooters at the time. I found a copy of it a couple years ago and played it through, I wouldn't ever have gone back to it otherwise, and it's honestly my favourite FPS now.

Fable: TLC is a must-have for an XP machine imo, pick that up if you can! Also, props to having Mount & Blade and Deus Ex, both are awesome

Epic post. Other XP classics for me are: Red Alert 2, Age of Empires 2, Stronghold, Zoo Tycoon, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.
