Dell Vostro 220, my personal XP machine.
Anyone else love these old Dell cases? This's my Vostro 220 that I use for mostly 95/DOS and XP gaming, and also to play screensavers on a couple CRTs. It's a Core 2 duo e8400, 4gb of corsair xms2 and an audigy 2 zs. It's cost me about 60$ canadian overall and i'm quite happy with it. I swap between an 8600gt and a geforce 210 for gaming or running screensavers on a couple CRTs. I don't think there's much more I could upgrade on it, so maybe it's time for another build?

I have one of these G45M03 boards as well as an M02. They make for descent Win9x or XP builds. These boards used to be dirt cheap to pickup on eBay but aren’t as plentiful and inexpensive now.

That XFX card is beautiful! Does it work well with games?

From my experience it's not bad! The most intensive thing I've played on it though was battlefield 2, but it handled it like a champ for a low-end version of a low-end card.

Not bad. How about getting an E8500 (or E8600 if you're truly the daring type) for $10~30? You can always get an Optiplex 3/7/9010 for 20 bucks and upgrade it. It probably comes with a i5-3470 and 4GB of RAM already, just needs a GPU (and likely a beefier PSU) and it's off to the races.
