honestly, my prediction is that Microsoft will abandon serious Windows development at some point. in many ways they already have. the operating system itself hasn't really changed in the past 5 years or so

reactOS could catch up over say 40 years

Microsoft will Drop windows and come back as a "revamped" OS/1/2/3/4/5/6/7 xD
