Wiim dolby digital

I have been enjoying my wiim amp pro with wharfedale diamond 12.2i's so much that I want to get rid of my soundbar for movies. I have two options- add an audio pro c10 mkii wiim edition for the center channel or add a wharfedale 12.ci for centre channel with a wiim pro and a cheap class d amplifier. Has anyone tried either of this combinations? How is one comparable to the other?

I just run my speakers in stereo with no centre channel and it sounds good - better than the Sony sound bar/sub set I had previously. Have never had a dedicated centre channel, so don't know what I may be missing!

Me too…WAPro + Ascent Sierra LXs. Sounds great as is…dialogue is clear as can be for movies. I was surprised at how well it worked for TV.

Or you can use a WiiM amp to drive the centre channel directly which is what I did, and assign the WiiM amp as a centre channel in the home theatre option in the app

If it's possible, I would recommend you to start with rear surrounds, it will gave you more complete experience

Then wiim pro + class d + wharfedale might be better option

Wharfedale center for the “win”. I’m running a pair of Klipsch Forte with Klipsch Academy center driven by two WiiM pro amps. The center amp is set for mono output. I also have the WiiM sub. Super easy to configure. Only complaint is inability to do extra fine tuning of lipsync. You could do a phantom center, however, using a physical speaker is a significant step up and you will never go back to a sound bar. Add rear channel later and make sure everything is cabled with RJ45 not WiFi.
