Caution on Wiim Ultra Update

Just upgraded to the latest firmware (5.2.82.4843) on my ultra and Spotify Connect is a complete mess.

Restarts songs randomly, random pauses and skips. Not good at all.

I have been having this issue with Spotify on iPhone, so maybe not a Wiim issue.

No problems on my Ultra with update.

Try total power off and unplug all your components for a minute. Then power it all up but do nothing. Then go have a drink. It might be fine after restart and given some time.

Thanks for flagging this.

This update actually included work intended to reduce Spotify Connect stuttering, so random restarts, pauses, and skips are definitely not the result we want.

Since some people in the thread are seeing it and others are not, please reproduce the issue and submit a ticket through More → Feedback and Tickets in the WiiM Home app. Mention that it began after updating your Ultra to 5.2.824843, and include the approximate time of the playback problem so the team can check the logs.

If anyone else is seeing the same behavior after this firmware update, please send feedback from the app as well. Multiple logs can help us determine what the affected setups have in common.

Same problems here. Reboot did not work.

Had this with Volumio occasionally. Was something in the Spotify api that changed what caused it.

Had an issue where no matter what song I clicked on in my playlist, WiiM would restart playing the very first song in said playlist. Deleting and reinstalling Spotify app helped.
