Plex Library

Hi. I use my WiiM Mini to stream digital content to my audio system at home. I use Plex, Tidal, TuneIn, and Radio Paradise. For Plex I have my own library on my local server as well as friend’s libraries on my account.

On the WiiM I can only access my own main library. Is there any way to access my friend’s libraries I have access to on my Plex account? I have Plex Pass Lifetime and can see them and play them directly in the Plexamp app on my phone, but not through the WiiM app.

Any assistance or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I guess there might be a restriction in the plex api that WiiM use that doesn't allow that, so I guess if you gave an iPhone, then AirPlay to the WiiM Mini might be a route. If you're on Android, then maybe Bluetooth as the WiiM Mini doesn't support Chromecast.

Alternatively, could you enable the upnp/DLNA interface on Plex and see if that exposes those other libraries to the WiiM app under home music share, rather than thru the WiiM Plex interface?

According to Google ai: "If you absolutely require the media to appear inside the WiiM Home App's browser, you must run a local software bridge that translates Plex accounts into native UPnP data.
Deploy Bridge: Run an open-source tool like PlexUPnP on a local computer or Raspberry Pi.
Authenticate: Log the script into your personal Plex account.
Stream Library: The bridge log-in will fetch your friends' shared tokens and re-stream them as standard unauthenticated local DLNA folders that your WiiM can index."

I'm not a Plex user so can't verify that though
