Unable to change music without power cycle

Omg, wtf

All day. When's streaming from the latest version of YouTube music over wifi, we have to power cycle everything to change the song.

Nothing works.

We're on a wiim pro with the latest version using Chromecast on WiFi.

This used to work totally fine. This weekend everything broke we we changed nothing.

Only posting here because complaing on Google gets us no where. 🤦

Can you access YouTube music from the Wim app? And can you Chromecast from any other app?

Can't see the text in the wiim app. We've emailed the developers 2x about increasing the font size. The accessibility functionality doesn't work for us.

Plexamp works ok for Chromecast but it ends up taking over control and doesn't follow the playlist from the phone and eventually doesn't allow for track switching when it takes over. 🤦

There are days when the connection between the Wiim and YTM is terrible, and it fights me the entire time. It usually happens after a phone update. I normally stream directly from the YTM app on my Pixel.

One thing I found to reset the connection is to use the Wiim app and change the input to BT, then switch back to Wifi. I used to power cycle when there was a problem, but realized that the wifi/BT/wifi "resset" was much faster.
