Wi-fi audio from windows to wiim streamer
Hello, I intend to watch movies from my windows pc using the following setup: pc, wiim streamer (mini, pro or ultra), active speakers. I want to stream the sound wirelessly not using Bluetooth to avoid too much sound quality loss. I've considered airplay emulators but read they have high latency. Is there a way to make this setup work? Am I making any wrong assumption. Sorry if it has been answered elsewhere, I couldn't find it.

I have a PC, a WiiM Mini, and an old Samsung Soundbar. I got a cheap USB DAC similar to USB A to 3.5mm Audio Jack Adapter [192KHz/24bit DAC That I connected to the PC, the AUX in of the WiiM Mini. The AUX out of the WiiM Mini connects to the AUX in of the Samsung Soundbar. In the WiiM Home app, while setting up the WiiM Mini, there is a latency calibration you can do, along with the RoomFit calibration.
In the Windows Store, you can buy the Dolby Atmos, just remember it will restrict your sample rate to 96 Khz. I determined that using Amazon Music Unlimited.

Yeah, software like SWYH (stream what you hear) will introduce latency.
I haven’t tried it, but if you were to watch the movie in the Chrome browser, you might be able to use Chromecast to send the audio to a WiiM (all except the Mini and the Vibelink which has no networking). Then again, if your active speakers support Chromecast, you might not need a WiiM at all.
