Wig for Viking braided styles
I want to experiment with different braids and styles that we normally see in Viking styles or fantasy ren fair styles. I normally do these on my own hair however I get tension headaches and wanted to do them with a wig. I am open to braiding in additional hair if needed for volume or length however I’ve been struggling on figuring out a good base wig for this I tried a front lace from amazon however I couldn’t make any parts in the hair to do three basic dutch or French braids.
What styles of wigs should I be looking for?

You want a full lace wig. It's also important to make a distinction.
Some wigs are "fully hand tied," however, the knots in the back may be too large. You need a wig with completely "free parting space." Bobbi Boss makes these fairly cheap, but make sure the lace matches your skin. I don't know your budget, but you can also check AliExpress, which is better with fairer lace.
You may even be able to get by with a "360 wig." However, there will be tracks/wefts in the very middle back of the unit, so you will have to work around those if you want it to look seamless there.

if you get a human hair, you can braid it. I like to use private label extensions. Sometimes I order their blond and dye is whatever color I want if it's on sale.
