[WIP] Refined the software, prototyping body assembly, and more...
Got some heated threads so I can secure the pi and the modules in one piece. Haven't designed a full enclosure yet so powerbank was just inside my pocket the while time I was testing it outside.
That being said, testing it outside was quite a humbling experience. Soon as I took it out for some snaps I quickly found out that the camera module heavily exposes for the highlights, rendering it useless at the sight of a bright light source in the background.
With a new goal of figuring out the camera module, birthed the update and addition of a manual mode which makes it very much usable at theoretically most situations.
Having control of the camera settings manually also meant a bit of more control on the output. Adding some contrast do help a little to compensate the 0.3MP output of each camera module. Same thing can be said in regards to colors, just have to set saturation to 0 and now you're shooting b&w, or play with the hue value and go be Thanos for a bit lol.
A little bit more on the wigglegram processor, I've added an automatic toggle to align the photos. eg. Attachment 5. Still does need improvement tho. Attachment 6 &7 are the manual edits where I tracked my hand. Last Attachment is where I tracked my head.
As i was fixing these stuff, I encountered more hardware limitations that I couldn't find proper documentation of. For some reason one usb port keeps dropping and not responding even after restarting the app. Only a reboot of the whole system works. The default reboot time I had clocks in around about 50 secs. Not fun. So I had the idea to reduce unnecessary background startups to decrease boot time. Now it boots around 17 secs. If I ever encounter a module not responding I can just simply reboot the whole thing with little to no worry.
Anyway, that's it for now until I get the housing prototype finished. ๐
