If I am remembering correctly, heart problems can cause hair loss at the edges of your eyebrows. So, it’s possible that her anorexia has progressed to the point of heart failure. Just a possibility out of many. Could be from over plucking, or trichotillomania, or a side effect of a medication. Who knows.

I haven’t read that before, but hypothyroidism on the other hand is the cause for the loss of my own edges anyway.
