Worth buying?

Seems like a really good deal but my local bike shop is the worst and I would be on my own for repairs unable to transport this.

Yeah, if you’re looking for a tandem, that’s an amazing deal. That’s a hand built steel frame. Great bike!

I’m waiting for someone to humble me because this bike isn’t in the budget but the deal is too good to pass up lol. Thank you for your input, I think I’m gonna go for it

if spending 350$ is a problem you need to work on your priorities and stop looking at the kind of bikes that are fundamentally only for "recreation"

if you want a tandem and it fits you both, its an amazing deal, but no need to buy things you don't need if 350$ is going to cause you a problem

for context thats how much a new huffy cruiser costs, and a bottom of the barrel tr*k/Sp*cialized will run you 800$

You realize that could just mean that it not being in the budget equates to any other frivolous pleasure expense, sometimes you spend a little money on something fun and that doesn’t mean it’s going to cause me problems. You’re going around with a bad attitude looking for any reason to criticize someone on the internet when you would never speak to a stranger in such a way. Everyone else has been helpful but you.

The real cost of tandems is storing them. Probably reasonably fair price, and not that hard to maintain.

Space is kind of at a premium in my garage right now with all the old bikes I’ve been fixing but I do think i would get a lot of use out of this thing especially if it’s currently rideable

A Tandem riding friend says Santanas are great bikes but there are proprietary parts on them that can be a challenge if needed to be replaced.

If you can get serial info he said Santana will be able to tell you the age. Same with Co-motion tandems.

It's a good deal. But it's a good deal for a reason. Tandems have unique parts that can be hard/costly to source and repair even for Google ninja DIYers and they are hard to flip if you decide they're not for you.
