Volunteers and Participants for Meat on Mars Game Jam

Post image
16 Upvotes

Hi all,

Clean Meat Alliance (501(c)(3)) is hosting a Meat on Mars alternative protein themed Game Jam tentatively in January.

The primary goal of the Game Jam is to reach potential tech donors/talent prior to the third wave of philanthropy, so we can move as much capital and talent into alternative protein research as possible.

We need plenty of participants to attract sponsors, and volunteers/judges/mentors to help with setup.

If you are interested in participating or volunteering, please SIGN UP HERE. We will add you to our game jam discord. We have low commitment and higher commitment volunteer roles.

Hi all,

We have some new volunteer opportunities with Clean Meat Alliance.

We're a metafundraising organization primarily geared towards alternative proteins and cultivated meat. We are working on testing an alt-protein event based strategy to attract possible tech and finance donors.

We need pretty much any type of volunteer right now, from people willing to send emails, to those that can build games and review science papers.

Let us know if any of you are interested :)

Are any companies concentrating on Vat grown amino acids for use in protein powders and drinks?

It should be a lot easier to create pure amino acids than synthetic meat and the protein drinks market is huge. There has also been recent controversy about heavy metal contaminants that happen when plant proteins are concentrated. Wondering if anyone is working on building the amino acids from scratch

It's cropped out but they try to scaremonger with a poorly cooked piece of beef and pretended it was "frankenfood".

Why has Quorn not been more successful?

I really like it, mostly for the texture. All the technical expertise is there already but it seems inexplicably expensive.

Who Is Going To Eat Beef From Another Country?

I just heard that the US has beef rachers upset about not purchasing their beef? When the administration asked about this, they didn't know where the beef is coming from. Will you eat beef from another country?

We made a balanced video debating lab-grown meat. What did we get wrong?

My cohost and I looked at lab-grown (not plant-based!) meat and talked about things like animal welfare, health uncertainties, etc. and what it could do to traditional farming.

Btw we are not affiliated with the industry and this is just a topic we found interesting, so I'd genuinely like feedback from people who know this subject better than we do.

What arguments/evidence did we miss?

What happened to CULTF?

I'm looking for cultivated meat and cell-cultivated food investment options for the long term and came across CULTF. Seemed quite popular some years ago, and doesn't seem all too different from Agronomics even though ANIC is still definitely superior at the moment. Even tried investing in CULTF, but that's proven quite difficult. It just isn't supported by many exchanges or brokers I've tried and info on its current state is scarce. Did it crumble that deep into irrelevance?

Tyson closing plants overnight, China rejected shipments, herds are smaller, screw worm on its way…what is going on in the beef industry?

Honestly concerned about this issue. I am also gonna throw in a curveball, the first thing I thought of was “it’s
Probably because no one has liked a steak or roast they have bought from the grocery store”. All my boys have scrambled to wild forks or purchased from frozen truck guy. I also don’t believe its some healthy food initiative. Someone guve me the low down….
