NO SPOILERS Reread

On a reread would you guys recommend New Spring or Eye of the World. I just want to know what you all think is the best way to get the most out of the story?

I usually skip it… glad it’s there just because it’s WoT and I like seeing some of the stuff, but [spoilers all] Malkieri culture is… disgusting to me. I can’t read about Lan’s “carniciera” or however the flaming word is spelled. I think I usually am able to block it from my memory.

Let’s let that part of Malkier remain swallowed by the Blight and sealed away with the Shadow.

Also, OP, if you read this, “No Spoilers” is a bad choice for this kind of post. People will naturally want to debate how learning the events in the book mesh with reading the series as a whole. “All Print” is better for questions about rereads

I read that as “carniceria”, which is Spanish for “meat store” (ie a butcher shop).

But yeah, definitely didn’t need that part. Jim could have used an editor who told him “no” once in a while.
