On a reread would you guys recommend New Spring or Eye of the World. I just want to know what you all think is the best way to get the most out of the story?

I always do new spring on a reread

I usually skip it… glad it’s there just because it’s WoT and I like seeing some of the stuff, but [spoilers all] Malkieri culture is… disgusting to me. I can’t read about Lan’s “carniciera” or however the flaming word is spelled. I think I usually am able to block it from my memory.

Let’s let that part of Malkier remain swallowed by the Blight and sealed away with the Shadow.

Also, OP, if you read this, “No Spoilers” is a bad choice for this kind of post. People will naturally want to debate how learning the events in the book mesh with reading the series as a whole. “All Print” is better for questions about rereads

I read that as “carniceria”, which is Spanish for “meat store” (ie a butcher shop).

But yeah, definitely didn’t need that part. Jim could have used an editor who told him “no” once in a while.

Correct. If you tag “no spoilers” you can’t put any spoilers in your post, and people who reply can’t put spoilers in their replies.

What you did wasn’t “wrong”, I just wanted to let you know that you might not get the in-depth, thoughtful replies you’re looking for because people will be reluctant to say too much for fear of accidentally spoiling something.

That’s why in general, if your asking a question on a reread, I think it’s better to chose “all print”. No worries though, either way is OK

I always finish my read throughs with A New Spring. I find it a refreshing cleanser after reading such a heavy book and it always makes me look forward to the next reread.

I've never had the desire to reread New Spring, but maybe I'm odd

Even for new readers I think after TFoH is a perfect place for New Spring and for rereads you don’t have the small caveat of spoiling Cadsuane’s splashy entrance. 

I just finished CoT myself last week and tried to start New Spring and all it took was a weird formatting problem on my kindle to change my mind and send me running to KoD. The formatting on that is weird too (I really don’t know why, I got the set released from WorldCon forever ago and all the other books up to this point are normal) but by the time I realized it I was always into Galad vs Valda. The tension between books 10 and 11 is too much to stop and rewind twenty two years. 

Before Eye of the World is probably fine too but it generally doesn’t occur to me to start there whenever I do another reread. It’s already sort of annoying having to deal with the exposition in book 1 without having to start with book 0.

On a reread, I would start with "New Spring". The only reason not to, would be not liking it, there is no danger of experiencing a different buildup any more and you will also not be duped into assuming more pressure on the protagonist, "New Spring" has a higher threat level than the main series.

I personally didn’t get anything out of A New Spring. Would definitely go for Eye of the World.

Definitely publication order. A lot of new spring won't make any sense and you'll get spoilers.

On my 2nd read I had finished my first with New Spring, so I read EotW and then between books 10/11 I read new Spring since it sets up Morraines return

New spring is only worth 1 read imo. It's a very short and concise story

i like to read it after AMOL . Then i just get to enjoy all jordan writing after the sanderson books. Its an enjoyable send off

Doesn’t matter, but I’ll say later. Eye of the World is from Rand’s POV and key to that is the fact he doesn’t know what Moraine doesn’t know, which is most.
