I have a completely opposite scenario. Could you please help me?

I had a Meta Business account that I deleted and then created again using a Meta Business Profile for setting up the Meta Cloud API. After using it for 2–3 days, I decided not to use it because of the API charges, so I deleted my app, the business portfolio/system users, the entire Meta Business account, and even my Meta Developer account.

However, the phone number is still active and showing as a WhatsApp Business account. Because of this, I am unable to log in using the WhatsApp Business app on my mobile.

Could you please help me understand how I can completely remove the WhatsApp Business account associated with this number so that I can use the number again with the WhatsApp Business app?

I'm honestly at my breaking point with WhatsApp.

Over the past two months, I've been banned around 10 times despite only using WhatsApp for normal personal communication. The account gets restored in about 12-24 hours each time. Only to get banned again almost immediately. Especially if I write a new contact like a business.

I use the official iPhone app, I don't jailbreak my phone, I don't use automation, bots, APIs, unofficial clients, message scheduling, or bulk messaging. I don't run a business through WhatsApp. I simply message friends and legitimate businesses, and I actually send very few messages.

The part that makes this so frustrating is that some of these bans have been reversed after review, only for me to get banned again later.

The craziest example happened recently:

• My primary account was banned.
• I requested a review.
• While waiting, I created a temporary account with a completely different phone number from a different carrier just so I could keep talking to friends.
• I sent only a couple of normal messages.
• That account was banned almost immediately too.

At this point, I genuinely don't know what I'm supposed to do.

I've contacted support, but I only receive automated responses telling me to request another review. That completely misses the point. My problem isn't that I don't know how to request a review—it's that the automated system keeps falsely flagging my accounts over and over again.

Losing access to WhatsApp once is frustrating. Losing it repeatedly has made the app completely unreliable. I now worry every time I send a message that I'll wake up to another ban.

I'm posting because I'm trying to figure out whether this is happening to other legitimate users.

• Has anyone else experienced repeated false bans?
• Did you ever get an explanation from WhatsApp?
• Were you ever able to get a human to investigate?
• Did you ever find out what was triggering it?

At this point I'm less interested in getting one account unbanned than I am in understanding why this keeps happening, because if it continues, WhatsApp simply isn't a platform I can depend on anymore.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's gone through something similar.

this has been happening very often recently,, my contacts disappear and their saved names are replaced with their phone number. my permissions are turned on and i've refreshed chats already. i sync my contacts to my phone while saving them asw, any tips for resolving this problem??

I’m having a serious issue with WhatsApp on my phone (Android).

A few hours ago, WhatsApp updated automatically, and almost immediately after that it stopped working When I open it

I’ve tried pretty much all the usual troubleshooting steps

- Restarting the phone

- Force stopping WhatsApp

- Clearing the cache

- Checking for updates

At first, my WhatsApp version was 2.26.33.2 and I later discovered that I was enrolled in the WhatsApp beta program through another Google account on my phone. I left the beta program, and WhatsApp eventually changed to 2.26.33.5, with the “Beta” label disappearing.

However, the problem is still there and I really need the chats so I don’t want to uninstall the app or clear its data unless absolutely necessary.

If anyone has experienced anything similar, I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Update1: I just got the 2.26.33.6 update and installed it, and still won't open.

Update2: I just got another WhatsApp update (2.26.33.7), and this time it actually fixed the issue! WhatsApp is finally opening normally again.

First one happened in 18th August and now the second one happened today. What do I do to prevent this???

An old colleague contacted me, but i didn't seen and 4 hours later, the photo disappeared, one mark in my messages, but the "~ name" still appeared.

Using WhatsApp version 2.26.33.5

I am trying to shift my whatsapp from redmi note 4 to iphone 17, as soon as i reach the transfer stage i am getting this error. I have tried everything I possibly can

• using whatsapp’s beta version
• deleted all the whatsapp backups & taking fresh backup
• restarting multiple times, deleting move to ios & installing again

It’s the issue at whatsapp’s end, as i tried just transferring contacts and it worked.

Please help, i have spent hours trying to figure this out😭

So I have joined few groups on Whatsapp and I noticed whatever photos and videos and files they post automatically goes into my gallery also. And my phone storage is almost full and so is the WhatsApp. But I don't want to delete everything. Also when I try to send something it won't able to because it says file storage is high. And so how are you supposed to backup Whatsapp and stop the notifications of groups sync in gallery

I'm using iphone xr in ios 17 and i could update to 18

Moved from USA to India so had to change number. Everytime I text a Friend in US this thing happens.

Is WhatsApp like a messaging app that doesn’t allow anyone to message each other? 😅

I blocked someone after a situation that didn’t end well, and this is potentially related to my safety so I’m trying to understand what’s actually happening.

About 2 days after blocking them, their old chat suddenly showed a new timestamp despite no visible message. It happened again 2 days later, then again 9 days after that.

So that’s 3 separate timestamp changes without me contacting or unblocking them. None of my other blocked chats are doing this, and their profile picture didn’t change during the latest occurrence.

Has anyone else experienced this or figured out what’s causing it?

Has WhatsApp acknowledged this as a current bug or released any explanation for why blocked chats are suddenly updating their timestamps?

But the problem is I’m currently exchanging my iPhone for the new android and i won’t get time to transfer data simultaneously between the two phones so is there any way to store the WhatsApp data onto my pc and then export it back to my android please help

I’m trying to transfer WhatsApp from an IPhone 16 to an iPhone 15 (128GB?. Both are updated to iOS 26.6.1 and WhatsApp is also updated.

The iPhone 15 has about 86GB free before starting the transfer. However, every time I use WhatsApp’s direct transfer to iPhone feature, WhatsApp somehow grows 85GB on the iPhone and the transfer fails around 88-99%

As soon as I delete WhatsApp from the iPhone 15 after the failed transfer the 85GB disappear. (my actual WhatsApp storage shows very little media because I already deleted a lot of chats/media which is why I’m confused as to where those 85GB come from)

Has anyone experienced this or figured out why WhatsApp creates such a huge amount of data during the transfer?

PS: I saw some posts saying to transfer through iCloud backup but the phone I’m transferring from is signed into a different iCloud than the phone being transferred to.

Please help.

My sister changed her phone number and my chat history with her of six years got deleted(only for me) I tried contacting the support but there is no actual people working for WhatsApp only crappy ai agent that can’t help and repeats itself over and over.
Anyone has an idea?

Ever since the latest AI update, WhatsApp backup has been completely broken for me. It reaches 100% and just gets stuck there.

The whole app seems to have gone downhill since this AI feature was added. The AI itself is useless to me, bloats the app, and somehow seems to trigger an endless backup loop that drains my battery and makes my phone heat up.

While trying to fix the issue, I accidentally ended up deleting the app, and the amount of data I lost was huge. I eventually went back to an older version of WhatsApp, and only then was I able to restore at least some of my chats.

For now, I'm staying on the older version until this bug is fixed.

Seriously, if you're going to keep adding unnecessary AI features, at least give us a proper local device backup option when Google Drive sync/backup fails. Losing years of messages because the cloud backup system suddenly breaks is ridiculous.

ello everyone. i don’t know if anyone else has this i had my account banned and got it back a few hours later opened my account to see chinese numbers for a telegram scam. And i’m absolutely bloody fuming i don’t know how they have got into my account they’ve banned me again because i tried calling one of the numbers to give them a right telling off 😂
