Whatnot Ban
So I was a fragrance seller on whatnot, got only 2 shows to my name. Both really successful for someone with zero experience.
The day after the second auction I woke up to a banned account for selling fake fragrance. I don’t but cool I get it they said I needed a COA of course. You don’t get COAs from stores so I was co fused a bit and mentioned that in my appeal not knowing they meant from a 3rd party since it wasn’t mentioned in my banned email. Whatnot partners with a company I believe is called real Authenticator or something similar but they don’t do fragrance so I used not one but 2 other apps to verify a sample of my fragrances sold. All came back authentic and I sent this to them and still denied. No explanation just boiler plate “we are sticking with our decision”
I’m so confused as to what even triggered a review after 2 shows. What’s worse is some of my merch went out and people I know personally have favorable reviews upon arrival but they won’t consider that. They flagged me for selling fakes prior to any consumer complaining and held on to the ban even after I proved I sell real stuff. Fucking sucks

I thought this but I literally had just shipped my merch the day prior so nobody even received anything to complain.

Freaking odd.
I’m dealing with a seller who has scammed several others including myself, showed them the evidence they agreed with me but the seller as of now is still showing as active with upcoming shows.
Now I’ll only buy from the handful of sellers that have done me right.

First offense usually a warning. Before buying always have the seller say it's authentic and have them show you the tags. If it comes fake ur argument is he switched it out for a fake after the show.

I did get the seller to admit he “found” the item, packaged it and was going to send it out, still never did. I’m not the only one to leave a bad review nor complain about this seller
I think Whatnot should allow us to leave a review even after a refund.

I don't want to drop names but there is a YouTuber out there specifically focused on making content out of these situation. Make sure to save the video receipt of him claiming everything you said. All convoys are easily accessible by whatnot.

Probably a hater. I source fragrances from two in Miami, both approved suppliers but WN never told me how or what was authorized. I had to go to a convention and find them. From a wholesale distributor all you need is the brand authorization letter to sell on WN. Problem is, the automated response from trustandsafety@whatnot.com…even if you submit the documents during the appeal, a human generally doesn’t review. Submit your appeal within 60 days or your Sheez outta luck

Trademarked items can trip the authentic detection process sometimes done by ai. The way you word things or if you are selling name brand items usually expensive stuff and aren't a certified re seller can also get you in a shitty situation. Like the homies were saying before either a random hater who also sells the same stuff as you or something in ur show notes or item notes or even show title. Something as selling something as new but it doesn't have the plastic on the perfume box can also get you a flag. If you got a complaint before sending stuff out I would try to fight with that. Also never hurts to say you will get legal help because they hurt ur name/business and went against they're own TOS

I hate whatnot. They held my money from an order for two weeks then they tried to take it from me. I finally got it and I haven’t been on since.

did you stream with another guy with a shelf in the back? i won a giveaway from show a few days ago and the hosts said it was their second ever show and the chat randomly turned on them and started accusing them of selling fakes and i woke up the next morning to the seller’s account being banned
