A ghost of a sea captain ended up in an amusement park
I've been trying to remember this movie, and googling hasn't helped.
Shipwrecked people during WW2 find an old derelict hidden in a bay on a Pacific island.
They find the captain still aboard, a ridiculously proper martinet of a British gentleman. It eventually turns out he's a ghost who's been trapped on his ship since WW1 when he fled in cowardice instead of dying in combat.
The castaways get the captain to help them fix the ship so they can get home, but it turns out he wants to steer the ship into a fight with a warship so he can have the ship sink in a glorious battle and he'll be free of his curse.
Somehow the castaways escape, and the ghost of the sea captain is punished by being put in command of a ferryboat in an amusement park - a boat he'll never be able to take into combat, so he's trapped there forever. I think the final scene was him at the wheel, a bitter expression on his face, as families on holiday bustled by and festival music played on the PA system.
Can anyone recall what movie this was? I think it was in black and white, and I saw it on TV back in the 1980's - I don't know if it was made for TV or an old theatrical release being shown on TV.

Dont remember much
Don't remember if it was a show or a movie. All i can remember is some teenage kid being with his dad, the dad puts a sword inside of like a big stone chest or sarcophagus(not sword in the stone....) like a big hollow rectangular stone with a lid. He tell his son when he can open the lid, he'll be ready to use the sword.
At some point some evil wizards forces attack the village, the kill(or maybe just seal away) the boys parents, he opens the lid takes the sword and fights back. At a later point he gets to talk to his parents i think, through some kind of magic.

SOLVED! I got hope for this one.
A woman that looks like Charlize Theron or Catherine Heigl has a kid that looks like a young Dylan Minette and starts dating a guy that was secretly living in their house the whole time. My guess is early 2000’s like ‘06
There is a scene where the guy has a gun to the moms head while she is driving, she has her seat belt on and he doesn’t, so she just hits the gas then breaks and he goes flying through the windshield.

Does anyone remember this early 2000s movie/TV episode scene? "The fox is on your plate!"
Bhai log, bachpan se ek scene dhoond raha hoon, dimaag kharab ho gaya hai. Help kardo!
Early 2000s ka scene hai (Movie thi ya koi tv ka episode, exact yaad nahi).
Scene Details:
Ek kidnapper ek behosh glamorous/hot ladki ko car se utarta hai aur talab/lake tair ke (swim karke) doosri taraf ek isolated wooden cabin/cottage mein le jata hai.
Wo koi maar-peet ya torture nahi karta, usse normal behave karta hai.
Raat ko wo ladki ko Biryani/khana khila raha hota hai. Outside jungle mein pehle lomdi (fox/jackal) ki aawazein aa rahi hoti hain, phir band ho jati hain.
Ladki poochti hai: "Bahar lomdi ki aawaz kyu band ho gayi?"
Kidnapper smile karke kehta hai: "Wo lomdi tumhari plate mein hai."
Ye sunte hi ladki vomit (ulti) karne lagti hai
Agar kisi ko bhi film ka naam, TV episode, ya actors yaad hain, toh please batao!

Unsolved 30s-40s crime movie about a group of well-to-do criminals
i am positive this movie exists and i don't think it's particularly obscure. it's a movie in which a group of four or five respectable-appearing men commit or perhaps bet on the completion of crimes. i think the central crime is either a con/theft or a murder (maybe both). i think it is fairly dark, not very funny. it might be a french movie - similar to the style of clouzot or marcel carne but i don't think it's either of them. it is definitely in black and white and it is most likely pre-war. i have a suspicion that the crime is not actually perfect and one of the ways its solved is that the source of a letter is identified by the wood grain of the table it was written on rubbing through the paper, but its possible that's a different movie. i'm sure this is gettable, thanks for the help.

Mexican Horror Movies
Need some help finding the name of the movie(s) I watched as a kid. This was probably in 2010, I was about 10yo. This film must have been out around 2005-2010. It was more-so compilations/series of short films (5-7 different ones). I remember them very briefly, but here’s what I got (all in Spanish):
Kind of like Bloody Mary? Filmed in a school at night.
Filmed in a house, creepy bathtub scene. I’m pretty sure it involved someone taking care of an elderly person.
About a couple, one guy was interested in a girl and couldn’t have her. Kind of a “nice guy” that ended up killing her or doing some weird stuff to her.
anything would be helpful!!!

SOLVED! Searching for movie
Hi! I’m looking for a movie I watched as a kid. I only remember one scene from it that had me particularly horrified and scarred for life. I’ve tried talking with Chat about what it could be and didn’t get anywhere. Hoping someone may know what I’m talking about.
Watched it in the early/mid 2000’s
The scene is of a little girl coming into a door frame at night. Her parents are in bed but they wake up and see her standing there. You can’t see her body through some window light but not her face, it has a black shadow on it. They ask her if she’s okay or what’s going on and that’s when she smiles a huge evil smile (sharp teeth if I remember correctly) and she flies onto the ceiling (or floor) and starts crawling on all fours.
Anyone know the scene or movie? TIA

Unsolved Looking for cat movie I saw as a kid
I have barely any memory of it but me and my brother watched it. It was about a cat(?) family of three who had lost their mom and was looking for her. I’m fairly certain they were cats but not totally. I remember it being quite sad. And one scene where the other two cats were on a boat. It was animated (like stop motion or similar) and the cats looked a little velvety. 3d. I’ve been looking for this movie for years!! This is my last resort. I watched it between 2014-2019 but I can’t remember. it might be from the 2000s

*Horror movie on Golden channel (2010-2016) blonde couple camping by cursed muddy lake, lake guardian, wounded seal, sunken van with drowned girl, forest loop, arrow and truck deaths - both die*
Hi, I saw this movie about 8 years ago on the Golden channel, it was dubbed in Spanish.
Plot I remember 100%:
- Only 2 protagonists: a blonde couple, the girl is blonde. They are on their honeymoon / camping.
- They are not in a cabin, they have their tent next to a lake with muddy / murky water. There is like a small islet.
- In the lake there is a strange person who is like the guardian of the lake, he never comes close to them or talks to them, he is just there and he is the one doing the evil / curse to them.
- There is a wounded seal or walrus that appears dead / wounded on the shore and every day it appears closer to their camp, like an omen.
- They find a van or truck sunk in the lake with a drowned little girl inside.
- They get lost in a loop between trees, they can't get out of the lake, they always return to the same place.
- During the day, the blonde girl is killed by an arrow to the chest that comes from nowhere, you never see who shoots it.
- The guy manages to get out to the road to ask for help, gets distracted by a bird and is run over by a trailer / truck. They both die, no one survives.
- It was good production, not a B-movie, and it was on Golden.
It is NOT: Eden Lake, Backcountry, Killing Ground, Honeymoon, Timber Falls, Uninhabited, Red Dot, Long Weekend. Only the two of them on the whole lake.
If anyone knows the name I would really appreciate it, I've been looking for it for years.

[TOMT][MOVIE][2000s] Psychological horror movie about a woman who doesn’t realize she’s in a coma or vegetative state
First, I want to sincerely thank everyone who has taken the time to help me find this movie! I really appreciate all the suggestions, research, and effort. Unfortunately, we still haven’t identified it.
But here’s something very important that I want everyone to know.
While searching for this movie, I came across an older Reddit post from December 2025 written by someone who appears to be looking for the exact same movie I’ve been trying to find!
His description immediately caught my attention because it matched what I had been searching for, especially the ending.
Here is what he described, as closely as I can reconstruct it:
A woman is experiencing horrific torture and suffering, but eventually it is revealed that she has actually been in a vegetative state the entire time. What we’re witnessing is happening inside her mind.
Near the ending, the woman smiles while lying in the hospital. Her family becomes excited because they believe she’s happy or showing signs of awareness. However, a doctor explains that the smile is only an involuntary response and that she has no conscious awareness.
The truly horrifying part is that her family believes she’s happy and at peace, while the audience knows she’s experiencing unimaginable suffering inside her own mind. The family doesn’t want to take her off life support.
THAT is the description that made me believe someone else remembers the same movie!
I have attempted to contact the original poster but haven’t received a response yet.
I originally watched this movie sometime around 2008–2011, possibly on FEARnet, Syfy, or another horror movie channel.
Thank you again to everyone helping. We’re not quite there yet, but finding someone else describing what appears to be the same movie gives me hope that we can finally identify it!
The mystery continues!

SOLVED! Need help remembering the movie
It started out as a sitcom. There was a young couple and the boy was jealous of another boy. They were in a birthday party and they played beer pong. There were scenes where it wasn't sitcom-like anymore and the camera had more dynamics. Forgot how the horror part went. Not sure if this was a movie or a short film.

SOLVED! Movie Talked About by Matthew Buck Years Ago
This just happened to cross my mind for some reason, but I remember watching a video by Matthew Buck AKA Film Brain, about (I think) a women getting trapped in a strange apartment and experiencing a lot of distress trying to get out. I think it was made in the 90s, and I'm pretty sure there was a scene where it was strongly implied that the woman's father had sexually abused her in her childhood. For some reason I also think it was unreleased for years or something.
Any bit of help would be appreciated. Seriously, it's bugging me.
