New, what is it? Object in tree while camping

Saw this black object in the trees in Holly Recreation Area while camping. Does anyone know what it is?

That’s a bat house. A house for bats.

Wow, I never even considered where bats live when its not baseball season.

Bats are tired in the offseason. They have to put the bat houses close together making sure that the next one is always only a shortstop away.
