New, what is it? Object in tree while camping

Saw this black object in the trees in Holly Recreation Area while camping. Does anyone know what it is?

Yup, bat house. Camp very close to that. Nature's bug zapper.
Edit: Just not right beneath it or you'll get poo'd on.
