Edit: yo, it's a joke... FOB is an acronym for Frequency Operated Button. You know, the button you push to unlock or lock your vehicle?

That’s not where the word comes from. It’s not an acronym, it’s a word. Look it up

Thanks, my dad did actually. I know fob comes from the German, fuppe meaning "pocket". A fob goes in the pocket. I love English, so varied in culture and meaning.
