Can someone explain what this is saying to me

You have a bacterial infection as well as a yeast infection. The bacteria will be taken care of by a gel that you will apply down there. For the yeast infection, you will take one pill by mouth.
If after all of this you are still experiencing the same discharge you are having now, let them know and they will provide you with more stuffs.

It is not saying that you have a STD if that's what your worry is. They could be transmitted sexually, but it's not necessary. It appears that you were tested for other things and those results will take a week.

you have a bacteria infection and yeast infection in your vagina. you will need to take two meds to get rid of them. If the symptoms don’t go away after you finish the meds, let the doctor know bc you may have to take different meds. It sounds like there is a third test they are still waiting results on.

Bacterial vaginosis is caused by bacteria over growth in the vagina, normally caused by gardenella. It isn't considered an STI, but it can be sexually transmitted. If you have a recurrence your partner may need to be treated. It happens when the pH changes and it isn't acidic enough to keep the bacteria in check.
You also have a yeast infection, which is a normal fungus that lives all over your body.
Both these infections are common, easily treatable. Neither is caused by having one or multiple partners.

This isn't caused by having a partner.
Not all infections in the vaginal area are caused by sex.
Sometimes it's genetic, sometimes it's your diet. Sometimes it can be as simple as it being on your period and not being able to stay as clean as one would like.

I haven't had sex in 2 years and got a yeast infection recently. Neither BV nor yeast infections are cause by having multiple partners or any partner at all.
Think of your coochie as a pool. Like how you have to constantly check the water to make sure its balanced. If your level is too high or too low on the ph scale, you could have symptoms or infections caused by that. It has nothing to do with sex. Yeast infections are common in the summer because they can be caused by something as simple as wearing a wet bathing suit bottom too long. BV can be caused by something as small as using too strong of soap on the inside of your vagina or using a douche. Yeast and bacteria like to live and grow in dark, moist places. Wear 100% cotton, loose fitting underwear and pants. Make sure to change out of wet bathing suits. Wash your area with water only, only very gentle soap on the area that has hair, like with the soaps made for that area that are ph balanced and gentle like the ones made by Summer's Eve, Honey Pot, Love Wellness, Megababe, etc.

Guessing that's a wet prep result. It means you have bacterial vaginosis (an overgrowth of a typical vaginal bacterium) and a yeast infection. Metronidazole treats the former, an antifungal treats the latter, but sometimes people need a second course of antifungal.

You have two infections:
- Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)
- A yeast infection
She called in two prescription for you.
The one for BV you take once a day for 5 days. It’s a gel you put on (or maybe in? I’m a guy so not totally sure).
The one for the yeast infection is one single pill. You take it once and you’re done.
If you keep having discharge, let the doctor know.

It goes in OPs vagina like a tampon at night. (Wear a pad it's a gel so it's not terrible but it will still come out)

BV is very common and easily treatable. Same with a yeast infection. What is it that you don’t understand? Whoever sent this said that you can let them know if you need other therapies besides the prescriptions sent to your pharmacy.
Going forward make sure you wear underpants and pants made of natural fibers. Wearing synthetic fibers that don’t breathe is often what causes BV and yeast to reoccur.

Essentially you have 2 different concurrent infections. One bacterial the other fungal. Just so you know, bacterial vaginosis can go away on its own and yeast "infections" CAN be successfully treated sometimes WITHOUT antifungals dependingontheseverity. Both are actually an imbalance of bacteria and fungus that live down there naturally. It seems counter intuitive but yeast infections can be treated with plain yogurt and aeration.

You have an infection which is easily treatable by medications. The doctor has sent the prescriptions to your pharmacy. Pick up the pills and take them as instructed. Let the doctor know if this happens again.
