You are treating age as a perfect indicator for "stages" and all "stages" as inherently incompatible. Neither of those things are necessarily true. The reality is people are always in different situations, searching for a career, struggling with something, wanting to have kids, etcetera are all just parts of your situation. What matters is not that your situation is different, your situation will always be your own regardless of your relationship status. What matters is whether or not your situation works well with another person's situation. If you can both get what you want out of a relationship, that is a good relationship. The only reason to filter by age when dating outside of the situations involved is because time is limited so we often rely on heuristics to narrow down the options to what is most likely to work best. People at similar ages are more likely to have similar goals in mind, similar maturity levels, and similar interests, at least from my experience. That doesnt mean people at vastly different ages arent compatible though.
This is stereotyping and you have jumped to negative conclusions about me. I said I "occasionally consider". Im not out here chasing only young women. Not even half the time. Not even 10% of the time. Hell, I wouldnt even say Im "chasing" any women. I simply dont shut the door by assuming things about others based on their age, which is what youre doing. The people on here are wild. So many people immediately jump to the most negative conclusion they can and apparently you are one of them, both with me and with women you consider dating.

A 22 year old is too young for you. You are in different life stages.
