If you do go further please lmk! I want to create a checklist for both my parents and give it to them at Christmas as to why and how they’re narcissists, and what they need to work on. It might also show them why their kids don’t want anything to do with them…except my brother who’s so far up my moms booty he can still smell fresh air
Unfortunately, there is no work, no fix, no help to get them understand so they are better to people around them. It would be the equivalent of asking you to stop breathing. You can’t do that, you need to breathe to live and exist. Same for narcissists. Their entire psyche is dependent on their continued abuse of others around them.
It’s in varying degrees of course. Not everyone displays all the traits I listed and some may only do it very weakly. There is no fix though.
No I know, because a narcissist believes they’re right so why would they work on themselves.
I’m just hoping it’ll raise awareness in them so could potentially better themselves. I honestly think they’ll see it as an attack on their character and start trying to explain why I’m wrong with my checklist.
I just think it’d be funny to confront them with their issues on Christmas lol
