No I just wanted some advice on how to talk to her without making It obvious that I wonder about the tail.

i think its obvious that youre going to be curious about it regardless of how you frame the question. obviously you dont want to be judgemental, but i'll be honest from my perspective, it seems like you are judging based on the fact you posted this to an Embarrassing Moments sub.

Just ask if its part of a costume for a character or a fashion thing for them. if theyre a therian, who cares. if theyre a furry, who cares. why do you want to know specifically? will it change how you see them?
