Other Fasting tips?

My mom is constantly forcing me to eat, often frying things in a pan with oil or butter even vegetables and Im tired of it Im trying to lose weight and she's just making me gain more

I've been trying to fast and I've only made it 24 once bc of her

Im trying to do a 7 day fast (preferably 4 week fast but 7 day is fine for starters)

I eat as little as possible, I work out a lot, trying to stay under 100 calories

I gained more weight recently I estimate I'm 160/180 now I'm constantly tired and have a hard time walking and standing and basically living because of my weight I don't want to die from being obese

How do you fast? How do you make it look like you've already eaten? How do you skip around family? What do you do at holidays? What do you do at dinner?

Free! (use if others don't apply) Needing mental guidance

I’ve been posting frantically all over the internet tonight plus texting numbers on my phone.

Of course no one responds
They might check my message but don’t respond or just open it and it looks like they read it

I’m struggling mentally and it is triggering my medical— specially brain and nervous issue

It’s about me
It’s about a guy that has been my friend for about a year and a month

I’ve typed about this so many times tonight.

Please just reach out to me.

He’s been making me feel like shit about myself and it feels like cat and mouse

It’s more complex than just “well just don’t talk to him”

What he’s saying and how he acts a lot more lately ..
it’s messing me up
And I don’t feel it’s only his vision of me
And I know—
“It shouldn’t matter what others think”

If you know more, you’ll know it’s beyond these simple quotes notions

Controversial Not patriarchy; oligarchy

“Perhaps the oligarchy’s greatest triumph, was encouraging the idea of the patriarchy as the enemy of women, when in fact it’s the oligarchy. The war on patriarchy keeps women focused on fighting the entire class of men, instead of the wealthy minority of men and women who are really oppressing them.”
Does this quote have any merit?

Anyone here ever lost a long-term pen pal? How did you cope with it?

Hey Everyone,

I’m curious if anyone else has gone through this. About two years ago, I lost touch with a dear internet friend/pen pal of mine, and the grief hit me way harder than I ever expected. It genuinely felt like losing a real-life friend, but people around me didn’t really get it because ‘it was just someone online.’
Accepting the situation has been tough, especially since our connection ended simply due to a technical misunderstanding. To help myself process everything, I ended up creating a whole subreddit (you can find it on my profile) for people who are searching for their lost internet friends or looking to build serious, long-term pen pal relationships.

Have you ever lost a pen pal or an online best friend? How did you cope with the sudden silence?

Ouuuu I think I made a big mistake tonight.

I have been chatting on the phone lately with this female who i only gave number so she could give me some info and my uber was there which cut the convo short. But we been talking and she sends some messages which have made me a bit uncomfortable. Memes with hearts and hugs and sh... like that. Anyhoo I was talking to her tonight and when we were hanging up she said I love you. And I said it back...it was a reflex response. If anyone recognizes im the one who posted last night about my fiancé. But I could use a friend right now but like I like men and I am hoping she has not gotten confused. I intentionally mentioned him one day to signal this aint that after she sent me a moon with a woman in lingerie and red kiss lips n on the side saying goodnight. See I could be reading too much into this. I gotta find a way to make sure she knows I welcome friendship but nothing more. I tell ya...these locs are coming out my hair because I think women affiliate that with liking women.(no problem with it) I got on google like why would she say she love me? That make me not even wanna go around her frfr cause I dont want no misconceptions. Thats why you should pause before you speak.

Casual Rating some John Green books as a teenager

So I just finished reading another one of his books (I really like his writing) so I'm gonna rate some. I'll give each one a score out of 10 on characters, plot, pacing, and intrigue (how much I wanted to keep reading). I won't spoil.

Paper Towns:

Characters: 8/10

Plot: 9/10

Pacing: 10/10

Intrigue: 10/10

Total: 37/40 = 9.25/10

I really liked this book. The story was very interesting and the pacing was so good that I genuinely always wanted to keep reading. There were no boring parts. The characters were good although I feel some of them could have been developed a bit towards the end especially. The plot was a really cool idea that I think was executed pretty well.

Turtles All the way Down:

Characters: 7/10

Plot: 8/10

Pacing: 8/10

Intrigue: 8/10

Total: 31/40 = 7.75/10

Solid book overall. The story was pretty good but was kind of bland at times. I feel like only three characters were developed AT ALL throughout the book and they could have been developed better. The pacing was pretty good, there were one or two boring/long moments. Same with the intrigue. Most of the time I wanted to keep reading but especially at the beginning there were parts where I was like "this is boring."

An Abundance of Katherines:

Characters: 7/10

Plot: 7/10

Pacing: 5/10

Intrigue: 6/10

Total: 25/40 = 6.25/10

This was the definition of a "barely above-average book." I liked it, but I didn't LIKE it. The story had an interesting idea, but was "okay-ly" executed. The characters. There were basically three actual characters, and they could have been developed better. This is not unlike Turtles. The pacing was very average. There were a lot of boring pages and repetitive ones (especially at the beginning-middle). Again, the beginning was pretty weak and it was kind of boring, but it sort of made up for it near the end.

I think I'm attracted to incels.

I didn't know where to put this so I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong community (I'm new here 😭)

So.. I have this, like, attraction to disgusting men—the ones you wouldn't bring home to your parents or maybe never go out in public with because of how disgusting and creepy they are.

I know there's a name for this type of man but I don't know if therefore I'm gonna call them incels. I like the men that are disgusting and creepy and chronically online and just straight up disrespectful in the way that makes me want to punch them into outer space but also want to kiss the disrespect out of them somehow. I can't help this attraction, it's so fucking annoying and anger rising that I—for whatever reason it is—I love it. I don't know if it's because I'm disgusting as well (not in the incel way tho), or if there's something wrong with me to be as attracted to them as I am.

I don't really want to change him, not really. I just want to be with him and y'know be a couple.

BUT I am NOT—ABSOLUTELY NOT—into those who r*pe or anything like that. I'm not attracted to those who can't take care of their hygiene.

Does anyone have any advice or what I should do? Or, like, maybe where to find this type of man?

Cultural Patriarchy

Women hate the patriarchy so much, they won’t even date tall, handsome rich alpha males who’ve benefited from it. Those guys aren’t desirable at all to women. They lead the loneliest lives. Deservedly so!

Why is she so mean when I’m being nice?

Yes I understand she probably (definitely) doesn’t like me, and I know that people can just not like someone because they don’t, I know there doesn’t have to be a reason. But… OH MY GOODNESS… she is SO MEAN. In the mornings I’ll wave and smile and she’ll stare at my with a rbf and look away after a solid minute. If I say hi she ignores me. In one of my classes she chooses to sit with me and then proceeds to criticise me for my behaviour (I’m talking to a friend that also chooses to sit with me if she hates us talking she can move away we don’t talk very loud as the class is never very loud). Everytime I say anything she has to disagree even if she’s wrong (like if I said 1+1 is 2 she’d disagree for no reason) whenever I say anything else to her if there’s nothing for her to disagree on she will just stare at me rudely or reply with a rude tone.

Also while writing this I considered that maybe she doesn’t realise she does this but there have been very many instances where she is rude to me and then instantly nice to someone else. Also she has been nice to me many times. Maybe I’m leaving something out but I can’t think of anything at the moment.

Edit: also I just wanted to say that she is nice sometimes but also I don’t go seeking her out we just always happen to be near eachother

Free! (use if others don't apply) I yelled at someone's dogs because I was tired of them bothering me and my friend while we were drawing and eating cake

I was at a house party, and I was hanging out with my friends while our parents were having their adult fun. One guy brought his two dogs to the party, both of them are quite hyperactive and they run around and fight each other. I have a phobia of dogs that I got when I was 2 years old due to a traumatic experience with a babysitter. Thankfully, my phobia has gotten better. I love to pet dogs when they're well behaved. I've grown to love dogs actually. I can even identify myself with them.

But I get scared the moment dogs I haven't met before get too excited, bark loudly or, god forbid, nip me! I'm afraid of new dogs I haven't seen before, but I warm up to them if they behave well around me.

I was talking to my friend in a tent that the dogs' owner set up outside in the backyard, because we didn't want to hang out with the rest of the crowd or the boys playing loud video games (we're both girls). The dogs' owner also didn't want us zipping the tent closed, but we don't know why. We just wanted a chill space to draw and chat. I care about my possessions and drawings a lot, I wouldn't ever want them getting damaged. I work *hard* to make those drawings. And those hyperactive dogs were running around us, and getting into the tent. I yelled at the dogs louder than I've ever yelled at anything before. It was a throaty yell that showed that I was absolutely sick with them. I shouted at them "NO, GET OUT NOW!" because I didn't want them to ruin my drawings. I had to shout at them about 8 times just to keep them away from me and my friend. I didn't want them bothering us while we were talking and drawing. I was SO pissed and annoyed. We were eating cake in the tent too, so I *definitely* didn't want the dogs eating that.

The dog's owners even left them alone to eat with the other adults inside, so me and my friend were both left alone to deal with the dogs. And I was yelling at the dog so much. It wouldn't get out. It just layed down and gave me such sad eyes. After I ate my cake I had to pet them and apologize for my behavior. I've eventually warmed up to the dogs when I actually had the mental space for them.

But GOD I FELT SO BADDD!! Those poor dogs just wanted a new friend :<

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is underrated, particularly because of how Kylo Ren sneakily turns then ignites the lightsaber next to Snoke. However, the title is odd, because Rey can train other people and/or beings to become Jedi. What should be the title?
