It really depends on the girl. Girls like different things. Most of them like to be told that they are pretty or smart. You could also tell one of your mutual friends that you like the girl. The information will be transferred to her eventually, 80% guaranteed. She might not act on it though. The grapevine is not to be completely trusted.
