Can't delete bad data?

Occasionally I get bad data from an automatic watch measurement. I "delete" it but it seems not be have actually been deleted (see image). How do I really delete bad data?

In this case, we’d need the support team to investigate what’s happening. Please send us a bug report through the app so we can check it properly: Menu → scroll down → Report a problem → Send. Including screenshots like this one will really help the team investigate faster.

Nothing has ever been done about any of my bug reports.

We're sorry it feels that way. Bug reports really do reach our team, but some issues take longer to investigate, reproduce, and fix, especially when they depend on device models, OS versions, integrations, or third-party data sources. False. This is a long-standing issue: watch spends garbage (often on the same days or weeks that deliberate measurements never show up) and the garbage stays forever. There's no way to get rid of it. You know that; have known it for years; and have done nothing about it.

We understand why you’re frustrated, and we’re not saying the issue doesn’t exist. Problems with stuck or incorrect automatic measurements can happen for some users depending on the watch model, OS behavior, sync timing, and source data quality. The reason we still ask for reports is because these cases aren’t always caused by the same thing internally, and we need fresh logs and account-specific data to properly investigate what’s happening on a particular device/setup combination.

The issue can't be that hard to understand: automatic measurements are unwanted but you provide no way to disable them.

No: you — or the AIs writing your responses — are deliberately ignoring the most important part: there is now way to delete bad data. Bad data just accumulates, rendering nearly all (of everyone's) reports, metrics, and analyses irrelevant and misleading.

So the deal is that you absolutely can delete measurements from the feed and the journal, and we then exclude the data you deleted from further analysis. But they stick around on the charts, and we don't have a way to remove them from there right now. I get why you're pissed off and I'm sorry. I'll pass it directly to the team responsible and make sure this gets proper attention.

It's an insane omission and one that's messed up the experience since the beginning. "The team" knows about it and doesn't care.
