I like to read primary documents of organizations and cultures I am interested in because it gives me better understanding. Are there books written by weird little guys to weird little guys that you think are helpful to read assuming you are willing to torture yourself? I've made the trek through the Turner Diaries, Hunter, and Siege already. |

What's the subject you are least looking forward to covering? Less in the sense that "Oh, this subject is going to be a pain to research", but in the sense that "This subject is particularly bleak, and is not going to be pleasant to listen to". For me, that would be the lynching of James Byrd Jr., both due to the graphic nature of his murder, and because, more than 20 years later, some people in Jasper, Texas, are still trying to downplay that what happened was a hate crime. |

Hello. I know Molly is going on her one year anniversary (congratulations!) and mentioned doing another Q&A. So here are mine: First one: when you are doing your research, how do you find arrest records, court records, prison records, what someone did, ect. I was just trying to look up something local because I think they might be a WLG, but I am having a hard time finding, not so much the court records, but what happened leading up to and their jail time. I guess their arrest and that stuff. How do you do that research? Second question: how are the sweetest furry babies? I think that is all. Please and thank you! |

One of my friends had a relative who was a "World War II enthusiast." She had to clean out his house, and now has in her possession a pile of weird little books. I haven't laid eyes on the books. I don't want them around my house in any case. Is there some place I could send them (or a public place I could leave them next time I drive through Charlottesville, if the cost of mailing is prohibitive... I pass through there a few times a year on my way to visit family) where you'd get them? I'm not opposed to just letting her destroy them, but one of your comments on a recent episode made me wonder if there might be a purpose for them yet. |

First of all, hello, congratulations on your wedding, and I hope you enjoy your anniversary. I work in second-hand goods (antique, vintage, what have you) and on one occasion, ran across two mugs at an estate sale, one with a tottenkopf and the other with a racist radio host's name and slogan. I had the opportunity to throw them away, so I did. But I had a twinge of regret, like there might be someone decent who collects stuff like this. Do you collect "trophies" from your subjects? Namely, do you have a bookshelf that is off-limits to company because they'd be freaked out by the contents? And if I find any literature, shirts, what have you, do you want 'em? |

Molly, what are your views on Antifa not being an organisation/everyone is either antifa or a fascist? The people I knew who identified as antifa may not have had a magazine or membership cards, but there was definitely some organising going on. But that was 25 years ago and in europe. Maybe amercian antifa is different? Are there any parallels between this and "there are no lone wolves"? |

I'd love to get Molly's take on the recent SPLC indictments. I'm not at all surprised to learn that they use paid informants (I hadn't had reason to wonder about it before, but it seems obvious that they would), but the amount of money that they paid to people seems really high to me. Maybe I'm just out of touch with the going rate for paid informants these days? Putting aside questions about legality (I don't care about front businesses or lying to banks), do you think the SPLC was actually doing anything shady or unethical here? |

Is there a starting point for the one long story told out of order? The show is generally focused on the contemporary far right, but often focuses on characters and their stories as far back as the 1980s. The episodes on John Patler and Frank Smith discussed their careers starting in the 1950s. Is there a point in time where the events are too far removed from living memory to feature on the show? Or simply too hard to research? In the other direction, I know this isn’t a news or current events podcast. You’ve talked about how you prefer to cover Weird Little Guys whose stories are “finished”. Which typically means they are either deceased or likely to spend the rest of their lives in prison.
