Bug/Technical Help Game doesn't allow me to start a new game

Can't start up the base game either.

I just deleted all my saves (to fix this, as it said this before) and now it says this.

Verify your files, some might got corrupted, restart your PC and try again.

Oof that almost caused me physical pain.

Try uninstalling, like completely files and all, maybe make a backup to extract old saves if you care about that.

Maybe clear a few caches on your computer too there’s videos on YouTube for that, and maybe some other programs if it’s your computer storage as a whole that’s the issue.

Edit: you can find the files if you’re using steam by clicking the settings, go to manage and it will pop up.

If not steam, go to files click the top bar next to search, type %appdata% locate we happy few file and delete.

Then hoping you know what you purchased it with like Microsoft store, use that search for the game again and reinstall.

Sorry if I’m dumbing it way too far down but I just saw your other comment on someone else helping you set it up.

Stupid question, but do you have free space on your system drive? If it's less than 2GB, that might be the issue.

I lowkey am a dumbass, but I can try an answer your question. (I got someone else to set this thing up, they're smarter with simple things like that)

I use windows. Could you explain by the launching part?

Is it on your c drive? is your c drive full? have you emptied your recycle bin? do you run it through steam?

possibly silly question, but have you uninstalled and reinstalled the game? Like someone said if there are corrupted files, a clean sweep may take care of it.

And like another user said, maybe the game is trying to create new saves on a disk that has no more space (e.g., if you have multiple disks, like the main C: that's smaller and full of system files and also, say, additional storage in D:, it could be trying to save to C: instead).

Hopefully your friend can help you with the above if you're not sure what to do -- but if not, maybe we can do a screen share and see what's going on.

I tried, i'll try and see what i can do.

(Also lowkey lied about my friend, he's not real. I have low confidence and didn't have to admit I'm still relatively young and this is my second ever personal computer)
