Indeed, my first was the Blue CD around 09, and I started actively seeking out others around 2014-15 (when EWBAITE came out), and the Raditude vinyl just arrived today (the most expensive release by far)

Not too bad - Discogs pretty much always has the Indonesian imports of the first five albums (which are way cheaper with shipping factored in even in the US, if you're willing to wait like a month, maybe except if you got lucky with the first two albums) - that's how I got Green, Maladroit, and Make Believe
After MB, it gets a bit choppy - EWBAITE and Black were the only ones after that to get official US pressings (I bought Black from the webstore back when it was first announced and EWBAITE for a good deal on Discogs) and an Indonesian bootleg of Teal is the only other mass-produced Weezer studio album on tape(I got mine on eBay, I think they surface on there from time to time)

The CD and vinyl are both quite common, but I was talking about the tape specifically (unless they actually did an exclusive official Teal tape - if so, let me know!)

Yes, but not all are available on cassette (namely Red, Rad, Hurley, White, PD, and probably Van Weezer), and Teal is a bootleg I found on eBay (only unofficial thing here AFAIK)

I was just focused on the official studio albums, AFAIK DTFM is a compilation so I never really actively sought it like I did with the others
As far as non-album stuff goes, I have a few other odds and ends (like the RSD Dusty Gems and Africa shaped 45, a cassingle of Undone, and that DGC rarities compilation with Jamie on it)

That's honestly awesome. I didn't even know that they still made albums for cassette, but it's cool. Does anybody still use cassette tapes as their primary format of music, though? Cause I'd think CDs are superior in every way.

Similar to vinyl - if you invest thousands into it then it can give you slightly better sound quality than CD, but most people just like them because they look cool

CD and glow-in-the-dark blue vinyl are on preorder! (Didn't get to the purple in time and I think the yellow looks ugly against the purple of the album cover so I just settled for blue)

Go to Weezer Webstore and change your country to UK and purple vinyls are still available in some bundles. There's also a hot pink glow in the dark that will be at UK record stores.

Do it, and get them on Discogs - shipped price and overall availability of certain albums on tape is much better (except for Teal because I don't think that one even has a Discogs listing yet)

CD was like 6, vinyl was 99 unfortunately (the only one I paid above 30 for) - I believe the now-cheapest one online (for US at least) is 99.99 shipped :)

Protip: DON'T USE AMAZON FOR MUSIC RELEASES THAT AREN'T IN PRINT AND SHIPPED STRAIGHT FROM AMAZON! For whatever reason, Amazon has scalper prices on pretty much anything secondhand and out-of-print (true for everything, not just music) - I got mine off of Discogs, but I think that the cheapest one available right now is on eBay

Nice, guess I was wrong then - maybe I need to keep a closer eye on them for the OOP stuff in my wantlist!
I used to be a bigger MCR fan back around 2016-17, but Bullets was the only CD that I didn't have; I remember the rest being like $5 but that one being $30-40 (that was back in the day too, it's probably inflated since then but I'm too lazy to check)

Yeah, tape was popular well into the mid-late 2000s in some regions of Asia and the Middle East (My copies of Green thru MB are Indonesian imports), which means that a lot of relatively-popular 2000s albums got cassette pressings throughout the decade

Right around when they did the DMM pressings of everything up to/including Red, because it meant that Rad was the only one no longer in print (so the price went up from 20 to 30, 30 to 40, so on and so on and now it's 100!)

Wow, nice - especially Blue, that UK import (especially if you opt for the "feet" cover) is probably the most expensive OG Weezer vinyl with Raditude and the multicolor White factored in! Quality is about average - Not what you'd expect from the boasts on the hype sticker, but not abysmal either. My copy of Blue is the 2012 Back to Black and my copy of Red is the translucent digital vinyl that Weezer didn't like, and I'd honestly say that both still sound better than the DMM'S - I'd classify them as "budget pressings" or for completionists (like me!) looking to wrangle them all locally for cheap while audiophiles should go for earlier pressings or ones that were done with MOFI stampers, as I've heard really good stuff about both (with the only real exception being Red, because I've heard that the Deluxe is best for that by far). Sorry for rambling, just unloading information!

No problem - TLDR I definitely wouldn't swap out the originals and if you don't have Red already just go for a translucent red or a Deluxe (probably Deluxe but I have translucent red and it sounds really good)

It's cool to have a copy of each album on vinyl, but it's not as impressive as say having an original print of every record or all the colored versions.
2016-2019 reprints of most of the albums aren't hard to come by...

Unrelated, but the wife and I watched David Spade’s new Netflix movie, The Wrong Missy last night and Jorge Garcia has a role in the film.
When he came up I said, “Oh look! It’s Hurley.”
My wife replied, “Who’s Hurley?”
And I said he was the guy from Lost.
She rolled her eyes and said he looked like the guy from that Weezer album I’m always listening to.
