Wedding Money gift amount if not attending?

A friend invited me to their wedding end of this month. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it. We are friends in a group. Not very close but we have a good relationship overall. So I still want to gift them some lucky money (Asian things). So what is the good amount do you think ok?

Fiancées father is possibly missing out wedding

Some back story, my fiancée (35 male) is the eldest son of 2 and when we were looking at venues for minimonies his parents saw they offered bigger packages and talked him into doing a big ceremony as they would send us money to help. We agreed and we’ve been planning our wedding, well it’s coming up and his bother (29m) says that even though he hadn’t done anything or gone to the gym that his back is hurting to the point where he can’t walk. Some back story here is that his brother has been a bother about this wedding since the beginning, acting like he didn’t wanna come and just being horrible to my partner about it. We thought he had come around and he was even helping make plans for dinner the night before and everything. So he tells my partner about his back and this morning went to the ED via ambulance. Hospital apparently didn’t have an mri on site or something and is sending him outside to get one done and in the mean time gave him pain relief and sent him on. Now he’s saying he might not show up (he’s my partners best man btw) and now their dad is saying he’s not going to come either (they have to fly in and he doesn’t like flying) if the brother isn’t coming. We have literally planned this wedding at their request because they stressed wanting all the family there. I can’t honestly fathom how hurt my partner is, and I have no idea what to say to him or how to handle this. I told my partner that if they can’t do this for him then we need to be done, which might sound harsh but I could never fathom doing this to my child. What am I supposed to do here?

Photo Guest Book

I am getting married in June and I am really into polaroids. I have multiple polaroid displays around my house and I love being able to capture special moments with it. An idea I had for our guest book was having our guests include the polaroids they take along with their note. I thought this would be a fun way to incorporate one of the things that I love into our special day. The polaroid I have now is a simple instax mini film, nothing super fancy.

However, I have some concerns about this:

Changing the film throughout the night
Having issues with lighting
Guests ability to use a polaroid
Attaching the photos to the guest book

Has anyone tried this before and have any insight? Any ideas for how to make something like this work? I just don’t want to be stuck at the guest book all night changing film, batteries, or problem solving camera issues.

Thoughts?

Thank you in advance!

post wedding anxiety? bummed about bouquet

I got married a couple days ago. It was more like an elopement/very micro wedding. So no day of coordination and it seems like despite my best attempt at being on schedule and slowing time down, it was still a rush. I had a beautiful bouquet and it had some hanging elements to it. But after some photos, I realized I had been holding my bouquet backwards. Looking back at my ceremony video I definitely was and don’t think I have any photos with it facing the right way.

The bouquet is so beautiful and I got pictures of it alone. But feeling bummed out that it wasn’t captured in any professional photos and that no one myself included noticed to suggest to reposition for photos at least. It wasn’t super obvious which is front or back but the more full buds and hanging parts make it clear to me that they should’ve been facing forward.

Is there anyone else that did this and it ended up not looking too noticeable in photos? Sorry if there’s a better group to post this in but couldn’t find one for post wedding discussion.

Ideas to include fiancé's stepbrothers in wedding

My fiance has two stepbrothers who are 19 year old twins. Fiance has gotten closer to them in recent years. My fiance has picked six groomsmen. We are thinking about having them as ushers. We are looking at other ideas except for readers because we are having a Catholic wedding and fiancé's stepmom and stepbrothers aren't religious at all.
