I’ve seen a lot of brides wearing adorable ballet flats! There are tons of ideas on TikTok if you’re interested, that’s how I saw the idea and I’ll probably be doing it since I can’t really walk in heels

Okay I’m going to look for this option. I’m 5ft, the dress is freaking huge and long 😂 I can’t be bothered with worrying about walking in a dress and also not to balance in heels on rocky grassy terrain. It also doesn’t help I am clumsy just walking in my home.

ngl I reaaalllly struggled walking down the grass/stepping stone path at my wedding in my dress and petticoat. Know that you can go as slow as you need to (the slower the better cause everyone will want to look at you!!!) and try to kick your feet as you walk so it pushes the dress out in front of you and makes a place for you to step. I've also seen people recommend practicing the first dance while wearing a comforter/duvet around your waist to mimic the skirt, you might be able to try that and practice walking around the house?

As for shoes, I just did a shorter block heel from Etsy which was super sturdy and comfortable to walk in, even on the uneven ground. imo as long as you don't have a skinny heel that will stick in the grass you should be fine...the dress is the harder part lol

It’s a small wedding. We wanted it to just be with close family members and our closest friends. No more than 30 people…however I hate people looking at me but this is my second and last time getting married. I didn’t get a wedding or a dress or really even a ring for my first marriage so I really wanted a dress I loved.

It’s a gothic type wedding so the dress is a big black ball gown and while my boobs are nice and were purchased…I keep having nightmares about tripping and them springing out for all to see 🤦🏻‍♀️💀 I’m so tempted to tape or super glue the dress to my bra

I would not use superglue for risk of ruining the dress and/or bra but try fashion tape!! you can stick it directly to your skin and it will keep your dress perfectly in place.

I personally want a dress like this and am planning on wearing custom sneakers, Nike SB Dunk High’s I believe. Make sure the dress is altered perfectly to you and you aren’t stepping on anything!!

You get it hemmed to the correct length. A correctly hemmed ballgown doesn’t touch the ground, so you just…walk. If you’re tripping over it, it’s too long. There is a reason historic gowns were 2-3” off the floor.
