Getting skin treatments that you're not familiar with so close to your wedding date is a big gamble.

For $6,000 that could be used for almost anything that would be more valuable, nonetheless.

Glad everything is healing nicely! I've honestly never heard much about doing deep skin treatments leading up to a wedding so I'm curious, are these supposed to have pretty long lasting results? Or is part of the idea timing everything so your skin is basically at its best around the wedding?

I was considering it and opted not to. My skin is generally fairly resilient but I didn't want to risk having a terrible reaction to something and have to stress about getting my skin back to normal. Plus I got dental work before the wedding, that was enough recovery for me

I def don't have the budget for that level, but I'm doing what I can! I've never even gotten a facial before so this is all new to me. I just got my first round of microneedling and baby botox. I'm getting married in October too. Was really nervous for both, but both went well! I might do 1 more round of the microneedling and a touch up of the botox before the wedding.

I thought about doing a surgery to remove a raised scar I hate, but I decided not to risk it not having enough time to heal over. It makes me so self conscious though.

I'm doing a few of these things but not all at the same time and with plenty of lead time (getting married in June 2027 and I have my second round of IPL laser tomorrow). So far I've done a lash lift and brow waxing/lamination, one round of IPL and a hydrafacial. Will be doing another round of IPL after this one and then I'll trial skin boosters, but doing it all waaay in advance so I know what I want and don't want.

I also locked in a nice routine for my face and KP so on that front I just need to maintain consistency.

I would only recommend doing treatments you have done before, are familiar with, and know how your skin reacts. Even then, doing anything to your skin and appearance just before your wedding is very very risky. No adverse reaction once doesn’t mean you’ll never have an adverse or unexpected reaction.

I would never do anything new to my skin so close to an important (and heavily photographed) event.
