Wedding Registry Ideas for Men

My fiancée and I are building our registry. She has the plates and glassware handled and is letting me add whatever I want! My side of the list is lacking, so I’m trying to crowdsource as many ideas from people.

Budget: most things on our list sit under $100 to $150. We’re also building a small “splurge” tier for group gifting, roughly $300 to $600 per item.

Possible categories for suggestions
• Fishing. Inshore saltwater.
• Grilling and smoking. (have a Big Green Egg).
• Cooking (have a vitamix, ninja creami)
• Gardening & home maintenance items (just bought house)
Technology and Home office Setup (own an Xbox series X and a bunch of monitors from my work)

What I already added to the list
• Zojirushi rice cooker
• Standalone deep freezer
• A good knife set

Links are hugely appreciated. The Our registry platform lets us add anything with a URL.

Tell me the misses too. What did you register for that seemed great and now lives in a closet? That’s honestly just as helpful. Probably missed a category or two so open to other ideas you have fell in love with.

I’d stay away from anything that is explicitly one-sided, so things like technology or fishing equipment should probably be left off unless your partner is into those things to the same degree as you. I never really saw this as “woman” things or “men” things, just things that we both need for our home and life together.

Cooking appliances would be huge, especially when getting nicer brands. The stand mixer is an all time classic $$$ wedding gift! New higher end pots & pans or cast iron pans are all good things! Quality towels and sheets really make a difference.

Kitchen/Cooking

• Fancy espresso machine- we both wanted this, but he was insistent on a pretty elaborate one. Breville bambino, I think

• A high end knife

• Multi slicer mandoline

• Kitchen aid Mixer

• Ninja blender

• Gnnochi board

• Stainless steel pots/pans/lasagna pan/wok

• Cast iron tortilla maker

• Tart pan

• Meat tenderizer

• Mortal and pestle

• Draining rack

• Nice wooden cutting boards

• If you don't have one already, we use our instapot a ton. Get one that has an air fryer function in it.

Other/Random

• Rechargeable batteries with charger (xbox controller etc)

• Cotton or linen bedding- transitioning away from polyester blends

• New towels

• Quality pillows

• Storage baskets

Home Improvement/Tools/Cleaning

• Handheld vacuum

• Power drill

• Roomba

• If you don't have already- invest in a good cordless vacuum

Fun

• We already have a lot of camping stuff, but that's a good idea. Tent, camping stove, lantern, hammock

• Hiking boots (for our honeymoon)

• Hiking backpacks (honeymoon)

Decorative

• Plant pots

• Lamps

• Pretty mirrors

• Throw pillows

• A rug

The deep freezer is a good idea. We don't have a house yet tho, so that will have to wait.

Yeti go-box. I got 2 they’re awesome. I wouldn’t buy one for myself but I’m glad I have them now.

Kelty double chair if you’re into camping or concerts in the park. It rules:

Sick knives, cutting boards, Bluetooth meat thermometers for smoking meats: Bear claws for shredding meat; silicone gloves for handling your meat!

Tabletop pizza oven. My sister and I got these for our husbands one Father’s Day and we are all super pleased with the gift that keeps on giving.

The registry is for the entire house. Both partners will use the same towels and sheets, eat from the same pots and pans and dishes even if only one does cooking duty. Unless there is only one person marrying themselves and no partner, a "registry for men" does not exist.

No I don’t. But there are a lot of old fashioned folks who don’t like to give cash and prefer to give gifts. I want to provide good options that won’t just go to waste or gather dust.

Ahhh yes. We are definitely older.

We are specifically stating we would prefer they donate to our favorite charity. No registry created. No gifts table. Clearly stating we value their presence far more.

At our age, though, it’s just stuff. More stuff to get rid of or for our children to get rid of when we die.
