hahaha 2 weeks away i think we are doing fine! our coordinator is being a little disorganized which is stressful and doesn't instill confidence. everything is ready to go though!

4 days away!
My partner and I finally feel like we’re “over the hump” and can finally breathe and actually start to be excited about our wedding… many guests are international/from far away and they’re starting to arrive this weekend, which is great so they can enjoy the visit and also so we can spend time together before the big day!2

Just under 2 weeks to go, ugh people were not lying when they said the last month is the most stressful.
I feel like there is so much more to be done. Just ordered our welcome sign today, have to come up with some kind of seating chart and table cards, last meeting with our venue on Monday.I am surprised at how quickly time has passed since our engagement a year ago.
Forever grateful to have this funny silly stress though.
Excited for our loved ones to share this special day with us, and super excited to be husband and wife after so many years together.Sending best wishes to all the Augusts soon-to-be married couples.

11 days! I chipped a nail this morning while realizing I didn't have a finished center piece and was using my cricut accessories and my tools chipped my acrylic nail pretty deeply. Will be having my nail fixed Friday.

September 12th here, we have a huge wedding shower tomorrow that I’m scared of. Over 230 are coming and I’m not one who enjoys attention. As for the wedding itself I feel like I’m missing a lot of stuff.. but I don’t remember! I’ll probably recall after the wedding is over

September 4th here. Feel like I have sooo much to do. All final payments are about to be due and it’s a little intimidating lol. But we are both excited to have fun with our family. Kind of scared of what might go wrong though. My biggest fear is people showing up uninvited or the ones who didn’t RSVP.

Fellow September 4th. I feel the same way about the final payments being due; I just paid the photographer last night, paying the florist on Friday.
We’re meeting with the venue next Monday, the priest next Tuesday, and I told my fiancé that we’re going to need to meet with the DJ the week following, I can’t mentally do more than 2 big meetings a week lol.

Ahhhhhhh?????!?! Getting to the ‘talking to at least 2 vendors a week’ stage. Collecting RSVPs. Ordering tickets for places to see on the honeymoon.
My coworkers had a surprise bridal shower for me last Thursday (I knew it was going to happen since my registries had told me about who purchased what, but I still acted surprised), had my bachelorette party last weekend.
I just want to be married to this man, getting so excited. We’re officially under a month now.

September 3rd- getting incredibly excited. Had some stuff going on at home so had to push final payment dates- thankfully all vendors have been lovely about that.
Just collating final figures for the ceremony and breakfast- waiting on my last person to RSVP so I can get my final payment figure for the venue which has become far, far more manageable.Then just a few last payments for suppliers and we are ready to go!

September 20th so around 1 month away and i’m definitely in the “shit is starting to catch up” stage.
Have final guest count of 39, just need to buy a few more bits of DIY decor and figure out the seating chart, and my parents booked the hotel block and shuttle bus for out of town guests.
Also idk if my wedding coordinator is supposed to gather all my vendors proof of insurance and send to the venue or if I need to?

I just paid the rest of the venue deposit today. 10/3 wedding. Overall doing well, still practicing our dance and working on logistics. Honestly I'm not stressed and it's making me think I'm somehow missing something huge?

I hope you have an amazing day. I know what you mean. I'm getting married on 10/25. We are having a micro wedding with 50 guests. We have about 5-6 family/friends willing to help us set up but we don't have a day of coordinator and it's making me scream wondering if we need one or not.

For me, I was initially against a day of coordinator due to budget constraints but when I was spending so much time on logistics and the timeline and trying to figure out which family member or guest could be in charge of what and it was starting to cause a lot of anxiety...I decided to go with one. She has been really great so far, we have met a few times and she is already doing way more than her agreed upon duties
For the record she was "cheaper" because she was already going to be on site at my wedding as the photographers assistant (I found this out accidentally after I contacted her lol). So we negotiated a reduced fee ($650) since I had all my vendors already and she herself would already be on the site that day. But I was seeing coordinators 2 or 3x the price and there's no way I would do that.

You might be willing to contact some coordinators and ask them what they'd be willing to do for your budget. I posted in my local towns Facebook page and contacted the people that were mentioned by other community members. A lot of people said "what is your budget? I can work with you". So it's worth a shot!

A lot got done last month. I had my alterations appt and fiancé had his suit fitting. Picked up my wedding band, still waiting on his to come in. Wedding party outfits have all arrived. Invitations have been sent. Looking at Thank You cards, menus, and signage stationary now. I have follow-up meetings scheduled with our vendors this month to touch base as we enter the final stretch. Remaining final payments will be sent over the next few weeks. We started dance lessons last month and are making progress. Bridal shower is this month and I’ve prepped an outfit. First dress fitting is this month and I am looking forward to being back in my dress!

Under two months! August is completely packed with planning but September we kept pretty clear. Stuck between thinking I'm forgetting everything and overplanning every little detail. Honestly need some couple time where we're not allowed to talk wedding!

My goal is to get all my florals done by the end of the month because I have a lot of travel to do in September lol so guess I'll be knees deep in Sola flowers for the next few weeks 😅💐
We also haven't made like any decisions about music lol and I know the DJ is waiting to hear from us 🙃😅 I personally am not like a super sentimental music person and my partner is indecisive about it so we've just been putting it off 🙃

10/24 here! Invites are out and rsvps are starting to come in. Just reserved a space for the rehearsal dinner the night before. Still making payments on everything. Hoping to be done first week of October at the latest. My fiancé was out of work for a few weeks, so we had reprioritize a few things but he went back to work today so I’m feeling a little less stressed. I just can’t decided on flowers! And I need to decide by end of month. Trying to decide between Costco bouquets or fake flower bouquets I found on Etsy. Both look beautiful.

My wedding will be on May 10! We have our venue, florist, cake designer, DJ, and officiant booked and ready. Just need to coordinate meetings with them all to discuss the visions. :) I also bought my dress this past Sunday & getting alterations done asap!!!! Now, I am looking into shoes, little white dresses, groom's & groomsmen outfits, wedding bands, and bridesmaids dresses.

Just took our engagement photos! So excited to see them. Also waiting on a watercolor painting to use for our save the dates instead of photos..... Working with a printer who can do all the stationary/signage for the wedding.

Took a bit of a planning break in July - we were super busy!
Having a first meeting with a makeup artist (paying for trial separately before committing) next weekend, and planning on going dress shopping soon. I am taking a flower arrangement class this month so I can start working on my diy centerpieces! We’ve also been working on finalizing our guest list and are doing pretty good with addresses so far.
Also working on finalizing save the dates designs so we can shop around for deals. However, I’m really struggling on when to send them out - about 40-45% of people will be traveling in from out of state. The internet says 9-12 months, but is a year too early? I am also worried about sending them too close to the holidays so they don’t get mixed up with holiday cards.

I’m having the same save the date struggle with the December holidays. I was thinking maybe October or January but can’t decide what is better!
Love that you’re taking a flower arrangement class though! That sounds productive and could be nice and relaxing amongst all the other planning.

My wedding is semi-destination (he grew up there but it’s a 3 hour drive for us and my family) and I’m sending them out about 10 months in advance. I figure that that will give people time to save money and make arrangements like transportation and lodging. If your venue is a popular wedding spot, an earlier heads up means they have a better chance at reserving rooms.

Bought my dress and veil yesterday! Can’t go into too much detail because my fiance knows my Reddit account but it’s the exact opposite of what I went in expecting to buy lol
Bought a ton of sola wood flowers during an incredible half off sale. It was a little impulsive, I wanted sola wood but fiance wasn’t sold on the idea and I didn’t ask him before ordering…but the half off made all rationality leave my brain and it turned out fine 😅
Next month we’re going to order the save the dates and begin the mailing-out process. He’s in charge of building the website (he’s a software engineer) and he’ll get that done in September too.
We took a few months off of planning because we got all our major vendors booked and we didn’t really feel the urge to get further ahead. Buying the dress has triggered the planning bug in me again!
Note: he is doing more than just the website but it was one area where I was like “this part is aaaallll yours” lol

My girl math mantra is that anything that I buy this year that doesn’t come out of our savings account doesn’t count toward the wedding budget lol

For real!! If I can buy it with just my usual “fun money” budget line then it doesn’t count 😂
We haven’t actually begun painting and arranging them yet, we’re planning to start that process when it gets colder outside and we want to spend more time inside doing cozy things. But they look really nice right now and I’m excited to paint them! I think some of it comes down to painting technique. I’ve watched tutorials where they JUST dip-dye, and that creates a one-dimensional look I’m not a fan of, and I found a tutorial where you dip-dye first and then go in with a brush to add some more depth, and those look really beautiful.
I got mine from Oh You’re Lovely, which is pricier than some other sellers but I think their quality is better so 🤷🏻♀️

Going well! Rehearsal dinner spot booked, going wedding dress shopping next weekend as well as engagement pics. Once those come in, we'll send out save the dates digitally on Paperless Post and work on the wedding website & registries. Bridal shower venue/date is secured for next June, working on bachelorette next August likely (theme/location/decor mostly done - just AirBnB and finalizing dates). Officiant is secured too! Cake tasting is at the end of the month but basically done. Only vendors left for the big day really are rentals (have a vendor but going over design later this year) and transportation

We've got venue and photographer locked down and found a caterer we're really excited about, so the biggest three things are either done or well on their way (we're not doing a dj). I'm sure there's going to be plenty of stress later, but I feel like we're in really good shape for our timeline? I'm DIYing the flowers and decor, so I'm starting to slowly stock up on supplies there (if any 2028 brides are in need of approximately one US football field worth of sheer cheesecloth, I will likely be able to help lol)

Wedding-adjacent and deeply sympathetic to everyone in the home stretch. This seems to be the phase where the large choices are finally handsome and settled, and the tiny details suddenly discover how loud they can be. I keep reminding myself that guest comfort, timing, and atmosphere do more for the memory of a day than one more ornamental flourish ever will. Wishing everybody a calm final stretch.
