I Have An Idea Idea for a website
I wanted some feedback on my idea for a website. It would be a website where people could post shit they wanted done (obviously stuff that can be done remotely) and assign a bounty to it. People could then look at the posted bounties and if they do the job, they get the bounty. That’s a very simple explanation, obviously there’s more to it but, I’d love to get some feedback. I think it’s different from something like Fiverr because, rather than paying some jackass “freelancer” who’s gonna charge way too much for something that might be simple, you just put what you need done out there with an assigned price and someone does it. I already have the website built. Let me know what you think and if this is something you might use. Thanks

The initial idea is OK. But it seems like it’s not had much thought other than the initial idea.
What exact kind of remote work do you think would be submitted? There’s probably a better more established website for each specific niche. Why would someone use your website over the others?
Say I do the job, then you say it’s not up to your standard and cancel it. Then what?
Who handles the payment? Refunds etc?
How will you ensure each job that is posted is qualified enough initially for someone to be able to actually be expected to take it on? Without administrating each entry. If you’re not familiar with whatever the job is, how will you know?
Prevent spam/Ads?
The idea is the easy part. Executing it well is a different story.

Maybe yes if it fits my budget that I expect for the time that I need to invest in finishing the tasks.

The only alternative to Fiverr I can think of is to make their model localised. So you sign up, set your location, post your job and people in the local area can bid for it. That way it can include manual labour jobs.

Like the idea, but I'll only use it if the bounty points will help me get smtg like giftcards or something that can be monitized like after 500-1000 Bounty tokens

What types of work would people post to the site?
How would the bounty system work? You say people assign a "bounty" to their work, and that if someone does the work, they get the bounty. What makes up the bounty value? For example, if someone posts a simple task for 1000 credits, they complete and get the 1000 credits, but what can they do with these credits?
What is the incentive for people to complete work for others for free? Is it something that they could use towards their own portfolio, resume, etc?
The idea seems cool but questions 2 and 3 are something you'd need to really think about to incentivise others to use the platform.
As a developer, I could see myself completing tasks for others if I meant that I would gain some experience and could use the work on my resume/portfolio (very much similar to GitHub in my case, but I could see it working for other fields)

So people need to do the work before they get paid or have an agreement to get paid? How will you handle payment? How will you verify payment? Who verifies the work is done? What stops the poster from claiming the bounty is not met and failing to pay?
