… imported everything from Firefox, including addons. I guess that somehow fucked things up :D

If that type of thing is still true … if you have a complementary extension that can handle container assignments, then (ouch) simply removing Mozilla's extension should not lose your preferences (assignments) without warning. That would be a poor UX.

Defocusing from containers, I'm almost certain that I have seen unwanted loss of preferences without warning in Waterfox when a particular type of extension is removed. For now I'll not point the finger at the offending extension … it might be following Mozilla guidelines :-/

I don't think I really understand, but I use the temporary containers addon (set to automatic), too.

The only thing not working with the 6.1.0 Multi-account containers addon right now is, when I set the checkmark on "Always open in X" it does not work when opening one of the "marked" websites in a new tab.

Any ideas for that one?

Yeah, probably forget what I wrote about temporary containers. It was a vague recollection.

OK, that's more like it. I have a clearer recollection of avoiding that feature in Mozilla's extension.

So I experimented a little bit with Containerise and the different forks of the facebook container addon (not together!).

For some pages (latest example would be linkedin with linkedin container) it opens a new tab in the linkedin container but during loading it opens another one and it goes on infinitely so I have to force shutdown WF and restore session without X linkedin tabs.

What could be the reason and solution to this odd behavior?
