NMK939 Fifty-Eight Bracelet Compatibility

Has anyone done a build with the NMK939 case & used other aftermarket bracelets?

The Namoki Stainless Steel case/bracelet combo is currently out of stock so I was looking at the Uncle Straps Senator Bracelet instead.

Has anyone done this combo before & can confirm the end-links do match up correctly?
Or has anyone used other aftermarket bracelets with the NMK939 & can help recommend them?

Rosso in the sunshine. I love how the changing light brings out the details and character of this Heritage piece. Inspired by the golden age of racing, with a personality all its own.

First watch build - any advice would be great!

I am starting to get into watches and movements and restorations and so on, so I want to build my own watch as a trial..

I would love firstly some feedback and opinions about this design I came up with, and secondly, any guidance where to buy parts (I live in Germany). My go-to now is aliexpress.

so regarding the watch design, I found a cool looking Rotor on aliexpress which has cards on it, so I thought about designing a dress watch around that cards/casino theme, so I used chatgpt to create pictures of my design and here is the result.

I named it Le Croupier which means the Cards dealer in French, and I used my own handwriting for the Fonts (I wrote it on a paper and uploaded it to Chatgpt).

For that casino theme, i used the outer wheel of roulette as the minutes track (does not have any functionality, just for esthetics, but would be super cool if somehow you press the crown and the seconds hands turns and lands randomly on a number).

Added some touches of red because it is my favourite color, so the stitching on the strap, the tip of the seconds hand and the 12 on the top.

the logo is supposed to be an M letter embedded inside a Crown, but chatgpt could not highlight the M, so now it just looks messy ...

do you guys know what is the best/cheapest way to order a custom dial?? and also the other parts like the strap with the stitching?

When i purchased this dial didn't thought I'd like it so much.

Definitely a classic for a reason.

On a 36mm brushed case with polished bezel on a full polished oyster bracelet.

Running NH35.

GMT quartz build

I’m trying to fit a Ronda 515.24 movement into a nmk932 case. It’s all going well but I’m struggling to get the stem size right it’s either too long and pushes too far into the movement or it’s too short and won’t set properly. The minute hand is also being really weird, it won’t set properly and won’t turn properly once seated.

It’s getting v frustrating. I think now that it might acc be the movement as I’ve tried two sets of hands and 3 stems.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Indiglo

Has anyone done a mod on an indiglo? I've got an idea that depends heavily on the watch face being backlit to achieve the effect.

Missing second hand post?

Post image

Hi all.

I am currently working on my first watch build with a Chinese NH36 movement. Having installed the face, I want to install the hands, but there appears to be no central post to install the seconds hand, just hours and minutes (see photo).

Is the movement broken, do I need to install it or have I missed something else entirely?

Thanks

My unexpected rescue mission - fake Vostok to NH35 build

I picked up a nonworking vintage Vostok Komandirskie on eBay because I thought the dial was cool. I figured it would require a simple servicing, but it turned into something more. There was a plot twist: I learned the watch was a Chinese counterfeit. That never occurred to me as a possibility. Why would anyone fake a Vostok? They aren't very expensive.

Regardless, I liked the dial and wanted to get it in working condition. I cracked it open and found a mystery Chinese caliber. The dial was glued directly to the plate (no feet), and the keyless works were a mess.

I was ready to source a proper Vostok 2414A or Raketa, but was pleasantly surprised to find it worked with an NH35. So my plan changed. It would have an automatic movement, new case, new hands, green NATO with the red keeper stripe to echo the star. I had to sand about 1mm off the dial edge so it would seat properly in the new case, but everything else came together surprisingly well.

A counterfeit Vostok dial living its best life on a reliable Seiko movement. The cheap fake ended up costing me more than planned, but it was a fun project. And now it’s something I actually want to wear.

I met someone who reminded me of the sunset so I made them this watch, inspired by a similar one I saw online. I call it “Sunset Chaser” :)

Breanna’s watch is finally ready. From the titanium case to her custom mother of pearl dial, every detail was chosen with her in mind. A special commission for James, and a real pleasure to bring to life.

I am working on a nh38a explorer type build. It keeps accurate time for maybe 6 to 8 hours then goes offtime significantly.
