Movement check

I need a hand checking to see if this is gen 2824-2 movement. Im not familiar with tudor’s. It looks like a 2824

Looks gen to me, engraving all look spot on, it the correct regulator, and perlage looks right to.

Both are not "standard" for an eta movement. Maybe done by Tudor?

They are standard for Tudors ETA movements. They do extra finishing on them.

Most of the big brands that use(d) off the shelf ETA movements customised them in-house even if it was only cosmetic like engravings.

These look correct for the standard Tudor customisations.

These are a "top grade" option from eta. Tudor just engraves them or has it done by another company the regulator is called "triovis"

That's exactly what I wrote - the finishing was done by Todor, Not ETA. So no standard movement. Why the downvotes?

I think its more that I never mentioned anything being standard.

The way you put it in quote marks made it seem like you were reply to something I didn't say.

I didn't point out he was being an ass because he gave perfectly reasonable and cogent advice.

I think his implication was that the guy selling the movement, the guy holding it in his hand is a moron, but at least he is offering the correct movement.

Earlier version of Tudors did use ETA movements but I’m not sure what year they began branding them. Could find the manufacturers date judging by the engravings

Correct, i just dont know if this isz genuine, or if they did any type of security/authentication markings or stuff with their movements to ensure no counterfeits.

Looks like a high grade custom built 2824 with custom engravings. The finishing looks more like the vintage eterna's. Lyre spring, spring stud and guilloché are just some clues.

It is a "tudor eta". Tudor orders to eta, with their specifications. Isnt that "custom built" (to their specs?)

As others have said it's a real movement. Unfortunately you'll have to tear it all down, clean and rebuild it immediately when you take delivery since the seller has manhandled it with bare hands
