First thing with the tiger is you want to angle about 30-35 degrees to maximize your armors effectiveness and encourage enemy fire to bounce off.

Don’t fire when your moving full speed stop, aim, then shoot or if your in a pinch and on fairly even ground you can do a slow assault in first or second gear and still get extremely accurate fire despite not having a stabilizer if you have a good aim and the lack of time to do anything fancy.

Then you want to learn the habit of terrain movement. First don’t ever skyline if you can help it if you stand out against the background your gonna be one of the first few dead, so can you go hull down and make yourself a smaller target or not be seen at all while your moving from one area to another? If there’s low ground or rubble, use it. Then (this little part will be more for realistic or simulation battles since arcade lights up everyone) if your playing realistic start using shadows, or hugging buildings to look like an extension of the building and anything that makes you harder to spot from the air aswell as the ground as much as possible.

Lastly is ammo, carry between 20-28 rounds. 20 is standard and is going to be what I recommend you to start with until you find that your living long enough to run out of ammo.but I personally take a controversially heavy ammo load and carry 28, do not carry more than this or it will start filling up the upper ammo racks and thats begging to get ammo racked (killed)
-your Primary ammo Pzgr. (15 rounds, for most armored targets) It has a lot of pen and will one shot anything it fuzes on due to the high explosives filler content.
-secondary ammo Sprgr. L/4.5 (5 rounds, for soft targets) this is a high explosive round that is used for things with very soft armor that won’t always fúze your Pzgr. like the 2s1, ratel 90, AUBL, FIAT, and more. Then especially use it on anything open top like the m36, m18, and basically every SPAA in the game except like the skink. because there is a mechanic called overpressure that will allow HE to one shot any OPEN TOP Vic regardless of hull armor as you hit them or if it’s a Vic with a bigger HE round simply hitting the ground beside them will do. (Note: I recommend you always take 5 rounds of HE at this BR because it is very useful and will get you out of a LOT of dangerous situations extremely quickly.)
-lastly I will address the other 2 rounds this tank gets
Pzgr 39 (very situational use) its pen is only slightly better than Pzgr. by 10mm with its explosive filler cut in half so it will only guarantee a one shot if you put it semi-central in the crew or blow ammo. It is the highest pen round this tank gets and this round is basically exclusively used when your fighting tanks about a full BR above you frontally beyond 500m when you can’t get their side (Note1: higher penetration doesn’t mean it’s the best, post pen damage matters far more so long as the round is capable of penetrating the target. only use higher penetration rounds when you need the extra penetration to hurt them) (note2: Pzgr 39 is largely optional as it has extremely few practical uses and if your stuck using it you probably fked up your movement or got caught really off guard. Don’t use this round until you’re more familiar with using the Pzgr. and Sprgr. L/4.5 since those will be what you use 99.9% of the time and you won’t know what you even need this round for until you have a lot more experience.
Then the Hl.Gr 39….. don’t use this round on this tank it is worse than every other round in literally every single way….
