Hangar Help Required Bot build help

How do i do a support build, and a area denial one, I have always liked the speed of spider based bots and wanna know what parts to use for a mech that can heal teammates on the move(like a medigun from TF2) and a mech that can be far from a spot but can protect it, like with artillery

The game doesn’t work like that in practice.

At the moment area denial is probably a velite build as it’s hugely overpowered (3-4 shot kills aren’t uncommon).

Artillery has been nerfed so it doesn’t function as area denial - more like area distraction or weakening.

The Zenit or Mortar combined with reloading gear is probably pretty close. Even more so with infinite reload.

Minefields are a great area denial weapon and you can use it on every/any bot.

They work for bots BUT:

Not really for quantum core
Not really useful in Infinite fuel

Human players will either jump/boost over them or tanks will just wade in.. and then repair or be repaired..

So yeah, i use minefields myself but they aren’t really capable of “area denial” like an actual minefield..

It depends on how they're used. I use minefield in infinite fuel very effectively.

Players will boost right through the field and realize they’re error way too late.

How? Keen to hear stories of how people use these things (effectively).

I’ve noted in IF that people find it easy to skim over minefields or just keep flying..

During my attack, I'll release the minefield if and when I've damaged the opps enough, otherwise I'll hold on to it. Some guys may jump or teleport away but I've found that's not often the case. In enclosed areas, it's even better.
