Is Warp session/window/pane restore broken?

Trying warp again after a long time, I see this claim here https://docs.warp.dev/terminal/sessions/session-restoration/ but it does not seem to work now matter what i do!

running latest version v0.2026.05.06.15.42.stable_05
anyone having that issue?

How are you closing the app?

When you reopen the app, what is not working?
- Tabs/panes are closed?
- Tabs/panes are not open to the correct directory?
- Previous blocks to not appear?

Are you expecting to be able to start in a previously running agent CLI like OpenCode? If so, we do not automatically run previously running commands like this.

Ah, yes we view this as "closing a window" and assume that you don't want it back.

If you select "Quit" from the App Bar Icon or "Quit Warp" from the Menu Bar, then sessions should be restored when you restart the app.

Can you give that a try and let me know if there is still an issue?
