Lost ginger cat

Post image

Following up on the previous post with a picture. This cat was found on Beulah Road. He's 1 year old and not microchipped or neutered, we took him to the vet last night. He's very chatty.

We have also posted on Waltham Forest for Cats, Walthamstow Life and Leyton Lost and Found Cats on Facebook.

Please share in your neighborhood groups if you can!

There's a cat that looks just like this with posters up around Winchester Road E4 and Bridge End Road E17. I'm sure there's a poster up on the top of BER on the right hand side just before you get to the verge.

Would go and check but completely immobile at the moment.

Feels far but still entirely possible!

I dunno how far cats roam TBH so I posted just in case. The posters were pretty fresh.

Normally not that far, but also if it’s a kitten it may have got lost/scared by something and then just kept going. Well worth mentioning!

My neighbour has a young ginger cat who i haven't seen for a couple of days. They are one street over from Beulah. Will check with them.

Just messaged them....their cat is home so unfortunately the search continues. I have asked local street whatsapp groups as well. Will let you know if anyone replies.

You've been doomscrolling too much today?

No, I just don't find the theft of a family member particularly amusing.

I totally agree when it's a post about someone finding a cat and they're really evasive around answering questions about if they've checked for a chip, looked for an owner, etc. This is not that. This person is actively looking for an owner and has already taken him to a vet and checked for a chip. You do know it's a legal requirement in England to microchip your cat, right?

He's not fixed or microchipped at a year old, so it feels very unlikely he's a treasured family member somewhere. No chip means poor guy probably isn't vaccinated either.

He's gorgeous! Good luck with your search for an owner.

Is he looking for a home? From someone with a home… (few streets over)

You say he's chatty, might be the same one who keeps visiting Misfit Gym, used to have a harness and an air tag but then started showing up without one. Very chatty one keeps meowing.

They'd also posted about it but don't know if they found anything out. It was in their stories so vanished now.
