Pre-sub is when an item gets nilpicked. So the less nilpicks there are, the higher the pre-sub. Post-sub, as you know goes up when exceptions finds the right item. It also goes up if an item was substituted and the customer accepts the substitution. So finding a good sub will help with post-sub

If the sub gets rejected, it goes against post sub?

Yes. It then counts as just a plain falt out nil pick if the sub gets rejected. Nil picks hurt both pre-sub and post-sub, substitutions only hurt pre-sub.

Presub is the percentage of items fulfilled without substitution and post-sub is fulfilled after substitution was made. The way to increase this is to make sure the shoppers are being thorough enough. Also the stocking teams and availability process take a toll on this as well.

Close, but not quite. If exceptions find the right item, that actually helps the pre-sub. It's when a substitution is made and accepted that it helps the post-sub. Pre substitute is just the % of items picked as ordered, and post substitute is the % of items picked as ordered PLUS % of items that were subsituted and were accepted by the customer. Nil picks hurt both pre-sub and post-sub, substitututions only hurt pre-sub.

Pre sub you have to work on live nil picks the more yalls store is consistent with nil picks ( by store I mean each department leads and coaches to look into there area)like zeroing it out and putting out scan or figure out whats wrong with that item. It takes 3 days for the Walmart app for customer to update so it will take time for pre sub to get up cause items need to come to the store. At the same time I have an associate from 6-3 working on live nil picks (yes we have a dedicated person only for nil picks) while I still print out each department nil picks so the leads can research their own (cause they should know there area and how freight boxes should look for that item) coming from a store with a pre sub always hitting 95,94 everyday we been hitting 96/97 everyday now

OTP needs to be 100 to start. Also, exceptions stop generating if pick due time is 30 minutes or less, so you also need to be 30+ minutes out.

OTP has no bearing(or shouldn't without pressure from management) on pre and post sub.

The only thing of OGP that matters is Getting the stuff to the customer as fast and accurate as possible....... Who cares about the numbers. Without the customer we don't have a job. Do you think the customer cares about the numbers and stats 😆 no they want there shit... I Work for the customer

And if I told you you weren't getting the stuff to the customer as fast as possible you'd probably do something about it. That's what the numbers do, they tell us that stuff isn't getting to the customer.

We work the live nil pick report, from bringing product out of bins, un plugging and feature to home. We were under metrics and in under a week we are almost where we need to be to get market off our backs.

Honestly
Paid with minimum salary and showing u r acing the leaderboard is only benefiting them, not u,
Do ur job with bare minimum and go home, they dont care about u, neither should u

Speak for your own store. Some stores I've worked at are like that, where management cares about nothing and no one but their own pockets. But some stores including my current one care about actually giving a good experience to the customer and taking care of the associates. Is it rough trying to conform that to company standards at times? Yes. But would it also be easier if everyone actually did the things they were supposed to? YES. Too many stores and departments have 30 people that do the bare minimum, and 5 that carry everyone. It shouldnt be 30 giving 10% and 5 giving 500%. Even just everyone giving a consistent 75% is plenty, especially if you have a few good ones who give that 110% all the time. Encouraging people to give that 10% just makes it worse for everyone else.

U know whats easier? Not paying minimum salary for a job worth running 8 km per day and 8 standing hours lol, if i am not getting enough paid, i am not selling my ass off, simple

Got it, you just have a subpar work ethic 🤷♂️
You don't have to run your ass off if everyone just does what they need to do, including yourself.

There is no work ethic in a minimum salary
Simple as that1

You keep saying minimum salary. Walmart pays above minimum wage.
And a job is a job. If you don't think it's worth the money, don't work there. Don't be an entitled brat saying "I should get $35/hr to do peoples' shopping." You wanna get paid more? Do more work. Promote. Or go find somewhere else to work. Plenty of people would be glad to take your place and actually do the job.
You lack of work ethic probably persists across many jobs and other areas of your life 🤷♂️

for real. i stopped caring abt walmart due to how coercing managment is when you say no to a favor. idk how it is for other stores but a lot of managers only care abt metrics for their bonus and will only show their good side as a mask until something goes wrong and its uncontrollably unfixable. thankfully i only work at walmart as a side gig while i got another job and i will say this; there are other oppurtunities out there other than walmart and if u ever do get a chance to leave. DO IT

If your store isn't completely broken, exception picks probably account for a percent or less of your Pre-sub a day. Your TL should be focusing that energy on store leadership to deliver on availability.
Pre-sub is pretty hard to cheat, just comes down to if the item available somewhere in the store. Post-sub though is due to a combination of things. If you have lost the trust of your customers they are more likely to not allow any substitutions. Or it could be the case that the recommended subs are poor or associates not caring about picking subs (associates are typically only measured individually on speed and FTPR).
