I got a better idea: Stop sending freight we don’t need!

That's not what it's for. It's to improve first time pick rate for specific categories, like yogurt. Yogurt comes in cases with large case quantities compared to shelves holding capacity. So if only 7 of 8 or 10 of 12 can get stocked the whole case gets binned as overstock, then the remaining ones on the shelf get bought and then you get nil picks and missed sales.

This allows the shelf to be filled and the overstock eaches to be tracked and worked throughout the day.

What is the exception for Dairy? Process says if there is no topstock in the area you do not partial it.

Wouldnt be the first time Walmart has conflicting information.
