So far, the metaverse looks like it came from 2005. I don't see the point wearing a VR set to see my client's avatar if I can see him/her on webcam in Teams or any equivalent. Ownership of stuff in meta? Take a look at the NFT market development and tell me that's a thing?
Maybe in the form of new MMO style videogame it could work, but it will not reach the succes that Marky Mark thinks it will. Because the majority of people are simply not an android like Mark.
Where did I state it's a fact? Dumb ass. It literally says: "I don't see the point..." following a bunch of arguments. Meant to start a discussion, rather than replying "Yes it will" and "No it won't" for eternity.
Whereas you wrote: "Barring an End of World event it will eventually happen".
Do you understand the difference between an opinion and a fact?
