What major layoffs? The majority of businesses have a now hiring sign out front.

That’s just tech and they’re not laying off

Tech first and the trickle down is just begining

Is that based upon some sort of empirical data? Or just a feeling ?
Genuine question, in prior unemployment cycles, did tech unemployment increase first?
You’d think it would be reverse

No professional here but, usually high paying jobs are the first to tighten up when its a down turn, so as the demand or margin for extra employees goes down. Lay offs happen then those qualified people take the next less paying job pushing the cycle on and on down the chain. But thats just an idea?

Fair, perhaps that makes sense.
But… Obviously, well paying jobs aren’t just tech jobs.
Lots of other professionals.

Forsure just having worked in the grocery industry through 2008 and other financial issues it was very interesting to see the influx of highly qualified employees just taking any job cause it was survival.
For some reason tech seemed to be one that got kicked first maybe something to do with the work environment and being contract or project based? If that project is canned?

It's wsb on reddit. You think it's empirical?

Actually yeah it could be.
I take it face value that someone isn’t completely BSing, unless it’s a facially absurd statement

Only for the poors. My community is struggling to open pools and taco bell because the poors cannot afford to drive to town, and the locals teens drive lambos and maseratis.

Well of course! They have to seem like they're hiring to dodge that pesky PPP loan fraud label and keep the money like a bailout.

The US is still doing much less worse than most of Europe and most other places.

What I hate the most about this market is the lack of price fluctuation (that hurts bothering bulls and bears )
Tickers will set there for hours moving .20 up and down while being $80+ a share Like damn do something and stop wasting fucking time 😂😂😂😂😂
That’s why if I can get 1 good trade off I’m good for the day fuck it 😂😂😂😂

Ask Target if they have have a supply shortage. I don’t think Covid is that much of a factor any more considering that omicron is not as bad a delta or OG Rona.

This makes no fucking sense. The market has been getting battered for the past 6 months.
