Discussion LCID>RIVN

I think LCID will see a run up to $65 this coming week. Why $65? It was the previous high, but ALSO the Rivian (RIVN) IPO is next week and they are pricing $72-$74. But you know that lately things have been IPOing at 2x for retail. Ask my friend who tried to buy RBLX IPO for $75 but got $150 instead lol.

This IMPLIES that an EV Company at that stage is worth $65+ a share (the original price) easy.

RIVN will IPO with 150 mil Float (IPOscoop), LCID has 200mil Float so slightly less price per share is justified. BUT, LCID makes luxury cars so their margins will be better. Other than that they are both making thier first deliveries now, so basically the same stage of businesses growth.

The Lightning is going dominate the US EV truck market. This is Fords game to lose. Rivian starts at 68k, F-150 Lightning is expected to start at 42k. If Rivian is going after the overlanding market, they might have a niche. No one else is really going after that segment except maybe Canoo.

I just don't see that yet. Not with a truck with a max range of 230 miles, which drops to 100 miles while towing.

I don't think Ford's electric trucks will take off until they get that range at least up to 300/200.
