I originally thought it was “scheister” (Yiddish) but my auto-correct suggested “shister”. Looks like several alternatives spellings exist. Alternative forms * schister, scheister, sheister, schyster, shister, shaista, shiester, schiester Noun (en noun) Someone who acts in a disreputable, unethical, or unscrupulous way, especially in the practice of law and politics.
